Just to chime in, I'd love for there to be two player co-op options for dungeons or story quests.

Playing solo I get bored/lonely (lol) and sometimes I don't want to play with a big group. Running with my good friend or my girlfriend only would be awesome.

I'm unsure if it's a popular idea, but I think that would be great to have some flexibility with your play style.

Yeah, I think that is a quite good idea - it is much easier to get a friend to do something together than a group - and it can be more spontaneous and less planned as well.

As far as we know, no, although housing might be considered a solo thingy. And to be honest, we're playing an MMO here, so expect more group than solo content.

I wouldn't bet on that - ZOS knows, that most of their audience is coming from single player games and they want soloable content. This is what makes ESO different from other MMOs and that is what Mr. Firor is always pointing out in interviews as well. The game is about Tamriel and it's provinces, and if it would be mainly group oriented it would fail like Craglorn did and be basically empty. That is a typical example for how not to do it, when they want their world to be alive and used by players.

So most of the content will stay soloable, just like it is now already. ESO will keep being an online Elder Scroll RPG with a single-player feel, because that is where the TES fans are coming from and what they expect from ESO, that it feels like an Elder Scrolls game and can be played like one. Grouping is optional and not a necessity nor forced on us.

Tell me about your solo adventures in veteran dungeons and trials please. To which an entire quarterly dlc was dedicated. Also your using of the word "us" is nonsense as you do not speak for the entire community. The trials community is big and the pvp community is even bigger. Same goes for the dungeoneering crew. Sure a big part is solo/questing, but to believe that is the thing keeping this game alive, nah, sorry, that's a joke.

Apart from one quote from Matt Firror your post is entirely subjective and basicaly only consists of guesses, brought up as facts.

It is not just one quote, Matt Firor says this again and again in interviews - but I found that it is pointless to talk to people about this, if they do not want to believe it - it is like talking to religious people, reason is not what they are used to. So I will just let it be.

You do that, talking is not a solo activity after all. But I guess your argumentless self justifying must be a pleasure to listen to.

Last time I seen Mat Firor talk he sad we would be getting smaller dlc's more often, he called them episodes, because their data mining shows people leave and then come back when something new is added and play for awhile then leave again, my problem with the smaller dlc's I don't think people will come back for two dungeons.

I think this game needs larger dlc's that have some content in them that will bring those players back for a while and give players that stay here something to look forward to, ESO need a real expansion at least one to expand the world and add a ton of new features, sadly I think that will never happen, and I think they are making a big mistake with these smaller episodes, I guess time will tell.

Some play this game solo, some just want to group, some just want to pvp, why not just accept such and move on.
It is our differences that make us human.
I personally love 4 man content dungeons, vdsa, that is really all I play, hell when bored or wanting to test a build I often solo the 4 man content.
These 2 new difficult dungeons would bring someone like me back, as that is what I enjoy, even if you don't or can't see why.
Really though why all the pointless fighting between the pvp, the solo and the group players.
People will be people and enjoy different things, just think how boring the world would be if we were all the same...

They will do both - Kai Schober said lately in the german forums, that they will certainly do large territory DLCs as well, it will not just be smaller ones. Just wait and see, I feel Vvardenfell incoming already - my looking glass is changing colors

This is good to know... and something I expected. I often wonder if Matt's 'small content' was meant to distract players from the reality that, because they have a small team and are now focusing on One Tamriel, that they won't have any time to devote to large content until after One Tamriel is complete. It would make sense, after Orsinium, TG, and DB... players were expecting quarterly releases at least the same size as TG/DB... but with ZOS focusing on One Tamriel, there was no way they had the resources for even something of that scale. So, to set player expectations for the immediate future, Matt came up with the whole 'small content' direction just so people wouldn't be complaining when they didn't receive larger DLCs every quarter.

I do enjoy group content and solo content too and I think I'm quite ordinary in this - going into extremes in judging majority of the player's community is not really necessary.
The biggest problem is if the group content isn't easy to access (like in Craglorn) and a whole area is locked for players, who cannot find a group, or if something is frustrating to do in an open area (not the same as challenging), because you are mostly solo in open area.

But I'm really glad, that ZOS is doing fine in balancing the both sides.

And I have to say that with guilds, where I can go for solo trials, I really do enjoy going back to storytelling of the old zones, so I'm looking for more too.

What I like about all the dlc so far is there is something for everyone. We've had a Pvp zone with dungeons, a large zone with lots of stories and two small zones focusing on a specific type of play style each. I own all of these dlc and this variety stops me getting bored. One day I might be in mood for long quests so we have an area for that, another day I might fancy a spot of more strategic play, so tg is good for that.

I would get bored if all the dlc were the same. I play different games for different moods, the dlc approach in Eso allows me to achieve this in just one game :)
