Honestly, Cyrodiil is just not built to be a pve zone. Everything is so spread out. The quest population density is really low compared to other pve zones. I could see people getting bored or upset.

From a game designer point of view, I just don't see the benefit of spending the time and resources to create a non-pvp version. The amount of people who would actually enjoy is probably less than the people who would be upset that there was now an easier way to earn those Cryodiil achievements. And even if there were 0 people who would get upset, I honestly don't believe there would be enough interest in it to justify the expense.

Edit: Fixed spelling... You type "Cyrodiil" wrong ONE time, and your phone auto corrects it to "Cyrodil" for the rest of your life."

Removing PVP from a PVP area to make it easy on PVEers is like removing PVE bosses from PVE areas to make it easy on PVPers.

That is literally what you just asked for, in reverse.

i dont pvp. usually the only time i go to cyrodiil is to open chests in the monster key armory. but for op to say that no one cares about pvp is silly .

i know every time i enter cyrodiil there is a chance i am going to get ganked --- but that is part of the fun of it.

First let me say I really enjoy PVP. It is fun

With that said what is the harm in a non-PVP Cyrodill/IC campaign? How is this going to affect anyone playing PVP right now? The only thing it would do is remove the players that are not really interested in gearing/specing/playing PVP and up the quality of opponents in PVP as a whole.

Is the issue that the PVE players wont be there for the free gank kills?

How is a pve-campaign hurting all you pvp'ers who yell NO? Is it because you can no longer boost your ego by ganking defenseless pve'ers? You know what? Everyone doesnt enjoy pvp.

Well It would basically be ZOS saying FU to PVPers especially when they said their not going to combine PVP and PVE any longer. So doing that would be basically combining them like they said they wouldn't want to do.Plus OP am sorry you got killed in PVP it happened to every one at one point you just have to get better at it.The best thing about it your on a good class to stop gankers. If it helps out I would be fine helping you learn PVP or protect you while you get skyshards or do some quest since you play Xbox .

So the issue is that a PVP zone that had no PVP in it would be combining PVP/PVE?

    We combine already in IC.

No one has answered the question how a PVP free Cyrodill campaign hurts the current PVP play in this game. It is not like Scourge is going to all of a sudden be impacted by this change.

Another thought on this to really argue the other side.

Getting all the skyshards and clearing the dungeons in Cyrodill is a challenge beyond just finding and clearing becasue of PVP which makes it its own unique challenge that is different from all the other PVE content in the game. From this perspective I would say a PVE cyrodill would remove this unique challenge.

Like I said in another thread about this same topic I believe they should implement a new NON PVP Cyro campaign with a reduction of 50% on all AP, XP and Telvar gained (yes, IC also should be considered). I believe is a good compromise.

Well in a PVE only campaign there would be no AP.

I also think that Telavar would need to be removed from this campaign as well.

You would think that PVPers would want to get PVE only players out of Cyrodiil to help reduce the lag and let other real PVPers into the Campaigns instead of them having to wait 56+ spots most nights because a pve guild is in there skyshard and dolmen hunting, or fishing.

I would say if this was done, no AP is earned and Tel Var gain is only 50% drops from current to make it fair and consistent to what you might experience dying to another player in PVP. And because there is no PVP, you also get no bonuses from Keeps or anything like that.

Since there are ONLY FOUR Campaigns now (3xVet, 1xNonVet), this would reduce PVE population from them allowing other PVP players to enjoy the content, it should also help to reduce the lag in that zone a bit.
Far too many characters to list any more.

it would depend on how they did it. They have already reduced the number of campaigns a couple times so I doubt they will add in an exclusive PvE zone. So they will take away one of the current servers. Look at what they did to Azura's. A few (very few) people wanted a non-CP campaign and they took the most populated of all PvP servers and made it non-CP. It is now the least populated server by a large margin. If they made a PvE campaign they will most likely take away another PvP server to do it. If there is one trend that ZOS sticks to it is they only add things if it requires minimal effort on their part to implement. ZOS could easily have added another non-CP campaign and left Azura's alone. Or bring back one of the ones they took away and make it non-CP. They did not. So now they have precedent to take away another PvP campaign and make it PvE. In prime time most PvP servers are pop-locked already with 30 min+ que times. If they take yet another PvP server away it will only get much worse.

As a pve player I'm torn on this issue. While I could see the benefit of making it easier to do the quests / delves / skyshards it would also make those things less of an achievement. Those times you get killed after spending 10 minutes riding across the map behind enemy lines, while annoying at the time are what now make me value doing all the quest towns, doing all the dolmens and getting all the skyshards in cyrodiil, I still haven't killed all the bosses in all of the delves and I've done hardly anything in imperial city, I know I've got much frustration ahead but then I know they'll be that sense of accomplishment when I finally manage it. And if I end up giving up and not doing it? So what, there's plenty of pve stuff I'll probably never end up completing as well, there is however absolutely loads of pve stuff I have already done and plenty more I know I'll do eventually, its not like I'm sat twiddling my thumbs thinking cyrodiil is the only thing left. Ask me on a different day and I may give a different answer but today I think leave cyrodiil as pvp only

And? So what if they don't, he wants all the rewards and skyshards with none of the danger. As I said above, this would be like removing all the bosses on a PVE dungeon just so PVPers can walk in and take all the loot.

He wants the accolade of saying he's done it, then he has to go in there and get it like the rest of us.

Well, the jackals who eat PVEers for breakfast might not like it but for the rest, I see it as a win-win.

And since you brought up TV stones, this is a pet peeve of mine. I've always thought that exclusive currencies should only be redeemable for exclusive merchandise. In other words, if the only way to earn the currency is by PVPing, then it should only be of benefit in PVP: gear/potions/food that only work against other players, for example. If an item is of use to PVEers, they should have the opportunity to earn the currency by PVEing.

So to sum up, you want all the benefits but you don't want to have to put the work in.

I tell you what, if you get your easy zone gentleman map, I get Undaunted at maximum by running through an empty dungeon where I get all the rewards and a full Undaunted skill line at the end...

...because, you know I don't wanna PVE, I just wanna have it all and go back to PVP.

Do you PVEers actually listen to yourselves? Honest question, I'm just trying to show you how silly what you're asking for is and why it annoys PVPers.

That's not what I said at all. I merely agreed with the person who thought that PVPers would prefer to play against people who liked to PVP.

Except for the jackals, of course.
