I'm just not sure what consoles offer anymore in 2016.

It used to be it was easier to just plug in a game, turn it on and play, but that is no longer the case. Consoles have basically the same setup process as PC's these days with the loading the game on a hard drive etc..

It also use to be PC's were in an office in some other room being played on tiny screens, while the console was in the living room hooked up to the big screen. But today many PC's are located in play rooms or living rooms and are easily hooked up to any TV with an HDMI cable.

Controller can be used by PC too, so not that either.

The only thing left I can think of is expense. If you don't already have a moderately descent PC, it can be expensive to transform it into a gaming PC if you need to upgrade CPU, GPU, MB, RAM and possibly HDD. But for many simply buying a $300-400 video card will put them at a performance level greater than the newest consoles.

Game exclusives are another thing I guess.

Less cheaters. There still are, but its ddos cheats and lag switching, not cheatengine or aim bot.

Yah I wasn't going for a point for point reason why, just more of a highlight of the classic reasons people preferred consoles and how those specific advantages don't seem really relevant anymore.

I could point out other things like add-ons or the extra network cost of consoles but didn't want to be hear all day debating an issue that just gets people all fired up.
