It does kinda depend on your graphics card
For me, it was affordability and convenience. When my much-loved but very ancient gaming rig finally gave up, it had reached the point where upgrades just wouldn't deliver the performance I wanted. To make matters worse, it also happened to coincide with a number of educational financial commitments and personal demands on my time. Put simply, I couldn't justify getting the PC replacement I desperately wanted. My PS4 was a temporary compromise - bought very cheaply in a sale.I'm just not sure what consoles offer anymore in 2016
