Could we increase maximum guild limit?

I've maxed out my five guilds, and I've met some great friends along the way, but there are still others I'd like to join! Anyone else feel like increasing the guild limit is a good idea?

You have five guilds. You need to leave one to join another. Easy as that.

ZOS have had this asked before, as well increasing the member limits for guilds. They've been nixed as a logistical issue in relation to server performance

Personally I think being part of even 2 guilds is too much. Little guild loyalty in this game, but that's because they have no actual purpose beyond trading and gathering. What people make of guilds is up to them, with or without the game's support, and I applaud those that can make them more than just merchant guilds.

I've played many an MMO where guild hopping was a thing. To stop that while providing guild loyalty in a compromisable manner I think 2 tops is ideal. Unfortunately, guilds in ESO were designed for the player market. Until Zenimax actually condones additional purpose for guilds we will continue to have 5. No more, no less. Any more and we may as well not have kiosks.

Yes, please! I currently have a beta testing guild, dueling guild, bank guild, 1 trading guild and a fifth guild that isn't very active but I wouldn't want to part with as I have some good friends there and I'm officer. No space for any PVP guilds or PVE guilds (and usually you need to join separate guilds for PVP and PVE). As a result, pretty much any pvp or pve stuff, I just play solo all the time.

Unfortunately if you need to add some guilds for trading etc., the only way to get more than 5 is buying a second copy of ESO. To do a lot of sales each week, you need at least 2 or 3 trading guilds in good spots.

And I love practicing other languages. Would be awesome if I had some free spots to join Quebecois, Japanese, Brazilian or other international guilds.

More important than the guild slots, however, I'd like to see the number of friend slots increased, even if we have to pay crowns for this. I've been sitting at 100 since 2014 and anytime I want to add someone I have to delete an old friend.

No, get rid of Traders and add an auction house. Then reduce the amount of guilds you can join to 1-2 tired of these inactives joining guilds to be sitting waste.

I like the idea of 1 or 2. Especially now that eso plus adds crafting bags. I understood the need for guild space storage. I think it would be fun to actually have guild loyalty. Maybe guild stores wouldn't be so empty as well. Shopping on the ps4 is kind of sad lately. There are many empty stores.

And no, i am against auction houses. Trading guilds are a much better alternative.

I mean, on the one hand, sure, it's always good to have more options, especially with how quickly guild landscapes can change. It's good to at least be at "honorary member" rank in a similar guild in case yours suddenly goes belly-up.

On the other hand, I could imagine some server-side issues trying to send that many more messages in guild chat to that many more people. Who knows.

At the end of the day, I'm super happy just to have five, it was an incredible bit of insight on the dev's part and I think it will set a social standard moving forward for the MMO scene.

Personal, I vote yes. I disagree about the loyalty in this game and guilds. I am GM of a very social guild, 150+ 7 day active players (200+total), and we are more a family than a guild. I am also 1st officer in 3 other guilds, 2 of which I have been a part of since PC launch in 2014. And my 5th is a awesome PvP guild that I run with 2 days a week.
I wanted to reach out to more guilds, so we made our social guild a "Cross-Guild/Cross Alliance Guild". We have at the moment 14+ GM's of other guild as members, so as of now, I have access to my 5 guilds and can hook up with ppl from 6 other guilds, all active and varied, i.e. RP Guilds, Multi Faction Guilds, PvP guilds, Trials guilds, etc. We were doing cross-alliance groups and events 1 1/2 years ago!

I've never played an MMO before this that allowed a single character to be in more than one guild. It takes some getting use to. In other games I have played, membership is character specific. If you want additional characters is guild you have to have them invited separately. I prefer it this way. Sometimes you have a rough night within the guild and you just want to moonlight another character for a while outside the guild to get away from it. You can't do that here.

The problem is that 99% of all people playing will only join trader guild i have small guild and we have try to get new member into guild but most of them stay for 1 day then just leave for we are no trader guild. We are try to get a social guild where we are focus on PvE thing and dungeon run and help each other but it is like people dont care about thing like that anymore.

I don't understand people who complain that having more than one Guild means that people aren't loyal to their Guilds. I belong to a social Guild, a PvP Guild, two trading Guilds, and a small private Guild with friends.

I've been in two of these Guilds since the first day of pre-release, two more since mid-2014, and the last one for about nine months.

I would love to be in more Guilds. I'd like to be in a French-speaking Guild in an attempt to get my horrible French slightly less horrible. I'd like to be in a Trials progression Guild. I'd like to be in an LGBT social Guild. I'd like to be in another PvP Guild for a different Alliance and server. But I can't, because we're limited to five.

I said little not non-existent as in the number of guilds people just join to sell stuff in outweighs the number of guilds that people actually treat like a true guild, mainly because of the way the system works in this game.

Always nice to hear about true guilds though so props to you :)

When I bought the game I was already surprised you could join more than 1.

After playing this game for a while I realised that (most) guilds are focused only in 1, let's say, "playstyle" (pvp only or trials only) or "perks" (trading only guild).

I belong to a guild that does a little bit of this and that but I understand that someone who really wants to focus into something needs to join a guild that specializes in that. I thought 5 spots were enough though, 1 for pvp, 1 for pve, 1 for trial progression 1 for trading and 1 for social/with friends.

By the way, @Wolfshead , your guild sounds like a guild I would join :) is it possible to get an invite? My username is itehache too in the game, I am a 203 stamina nightblade

No! And if they do, make it only for special trading guilds. So when you create a guild you can choose if it's a trading guild or a normal guild. Then normal guilds (up to 500 member) can use/have more stuff (like housing etc.) and trading guilds (500+) are only there for trading.

I'd like one or two more guild slots. Currently my 5 ones are:

    - my 'family' spanish guild I've been playing with for many years and many games
    - my PvP french guild I'm playing with on a daily basis for almost two years
    - our PvP alliance,
    - one ally spanish guild
    - one market guild
    ...
If I'd have more slots, I could join some RP guild and come back to the PvE spanish alliance guild I was before.

It would be great if we could ally and communicate with other guilds without the needed of making another guild, as we had in Guild Wars, the first, where guilds could be united under a same alliance name and had shared chat, then I would be fine with my five guild slots.

    2. geman pvp guild
