hey everyone

Title says it all

Currently I am playing my alt 240CP sorcerer who has a problem of lack of skill points due to which I cannot learn some of the wanted skills to try out different builds

Can someone give an advice on the ways of how I can gain skill points in this game e.g a list of potential activities which will bring about more skill points

Thx

    somewhere like 100

I have only played the sorcerer to lvl 50, while I had my alt at Vet 12 with 180CP, so when DB came &I I lvled my sorcerer he instantly got all the CPs from my main Templar

That is to say that I haven't played much with my sorcerer

Skyshards - Gotta catch 'em all... And the DLC have them. Plus don't forget the Cyrodiil ones behind the enemy gates. Difficult but not impossible to get.
Main quests for DLC also have skill points.
Plus there is a skill point for the quest in each of the Group Dungeons, so the first time you do each, you'll get one.

And it might also be worth respeccing your character - maybe there are some skills you tried but don't find useful? It's cheap atm so worthwhile, but won't be that price forever.

I have also this wired problem that might sound ironic but the only place that my game does not lag and it is possible to play is Cyrodiil, so for most of the part I am in Cyrodiil and imperial city because outside of it, it is si o,y impossible to play, after every 5 steps there is a loading screen and every object (NPCs and players) are black

Have you found all of the skyshards available to you, including the other faction areas?

You can do Cadwells silver and gold for more story skill points (if you have completed the main story line) but simply finding all of the skyshards in every area will give a ton of skill points and clearing out the delves where some of them are will give you a heap of XP.

Every main area (5) in each faction (3) has 15 or 16 skyshards, so that is 225 to 240 skyshards (75 - 80 skill points). When you add the 5 minor areas with 3 skyshards in each, plus Coldharbour, Craglorn and Wrothgar (if you have the DLC) you suddenly have 100 or more skill points just from skyshards alone.

Edit: I don't know how many skyshards might be in the TG or DB areas as I have not been there yet.

Ok here is what you need to know:

Auridon, Grahtwood, Greenshade, Malabal Tor, Reaper's March, Stonefalls, Deshaan, Shadowfen, Eastmarch, The Rift, Glenumbra, Stormhaven, Rivenspire, Alik'r Desert, Bangkorai, and Coldharbour all have the following:

16 Skyshards (9 in the open world, 6 in delves, 1 in a public dungeon)
1 Group Event (these are in public dungeons and award a skill point)
1 Group Dungeon (this is where Undaunted Pledges take place, have 2 difficulties with their own quest, and each dungeon has those quests and they award a skill point each)

How many skill points does this add up to? The answer, if you do them all, is 133. Not enough? Well there are a total of 46 skyshards in Cyrodiil too. Craglorn's dungeons also have Skyshards. Got access to DLCs? Then you can comb the Imperial City, Wrothgar, Hew's Bane, and Gold Coast for more skyshards!

Still not enough? Then keep in mind there are many quests out there that award skill points. Every single Harborage quest awards a skill point too. And then there are the skill points just from leveling, 64 if I am not mistaken.

STILL not enough? Then you can earn more by raising your Alliance Rank via PvP in Cyrodiil.

STILL not enough? Then what the hell are you aiming for?!

    Hope this helps :p

As of now, there's 381 skyshards in the game, including the DLC areas. Plenty of skillpoints, even if you ignore quests.

Between quests, public dungeons and skyshards, Cadwell's Silver and Gold awards about 200 skill points.

Check your Achievements for public dungeons right back to the low level first zones, you get 1 skill point for completing each one and also another for completing the 'group' events in each one too so thats 2 skill points per dungeon.

At level 50 these can all be solo run quite easily, I just did them all on mt NB up to and including the 2 in Wrothgar, you need to do these now, once One Tamriel patch comes these dungeons will be scaled on level so it will make them far harder to complete solo.

Also there are Skyshards in all the group delves in Cragorn, you can get all these solo and without having to kill any of the group bosses, it just takes time to work your way around the instances.

Here is a guide with maps I used for my own skill point hunt: http://tamrieljournal.com/public-dungeon-group-challenge-conqueror-guide/

In addition to the good lists already provided, each zone (except the starter islands) have 4 major quests that reward a skill point. These are the quests that will finish Cadwell's Silver and Gold, and push you towards Coldharbour in your first alliance. That is 4 points x 5 zones x 3 alliances + 4 in Coldharbour = 64 skill points. Add optional 2 skill points from the Mages's Guild questline for 66.

Oh yes.. I cheated a bit and use the youtube clip for a guide to where all the skyshards are located. Much easier!

Haaa.. I don't know about doing solo because it seems most or all the skyshards in Craglorn are in the group delves.

    what is group event ?

In every public dungeon, there is one boss that is supposed to be taken down by a group of people. Typically, there are waves of adds, then the main boss appears. These can be solo'd, but they are the only activity in a public dungeon that awards a skill point on completion. If you look in your Journal, under Achievements, Dungeons, Public Dungeons, you will see which ones you have to do yet.

Each part of a zones story quest will award a skill point, 5 or 6 depending on the zone. Times that by 15, and you have a plenty of skill points just from doing all the story quests through to Cadwells gold and silver. Plus the 5 skill points from doing coldharbour story, then theres roughly 5 skill points from each of the DLC zone stories. On top of that, each zone has 15 or 16 skyshards, delves and public dungeon included - thats a LOT of skill points. And thats without thinking about the skill points available in Cyrodiil from getting all the skyshards there - and theres a LOT of skyshards in cyrodiil.

My completionist main char has all her crafting skill trees pointed out, and has all the other skill trees fully pointed out including DB, TG, and Legerdemain, and STILL has 25 unallocated Skill Points.

Also keep in mind, OP; you don't have to complete every Zone in the game to get the Skyshards out in the open in each Zone, or in the Delves.

If you have a Google search up, you can find lists that tell you where each Skyshard is in the game. You can just run through each Zone and Delve and grab just the Skyshards if you just want to bank Skill Points for a rainy day.

However (there's always a "however"); like other people have mentioned, if you do this you'll be missing out on the "Zone Quests" that serve as a guide for getting through each Zone, and many of these Quests award a Skill point at the end of said Quests.

About the best way to go about it IMO; is to just Quest through each Zone as they come up, and make sure you get enough Quests completed to get the Adventurer achievement for each Zone. Hunt those Skyshards along the way, and by the time you finish all of the Alliances, you should have a "bank" of 60+ Skill points. This math assumes that you're only spending Skill points on Class skills and certain Guild skills that make adventuring easier.

I've done this on each of my two "Main" characters, and each of them has close to 70 Skill points "in reserve", and that's without going Skyshard hunting in Cyrodiil (which I'll be tackling this weekend).

So, the skill points are there. You just have to go looking for them. :)
