Make IC the home of Arenas/BGs

For example, add periodic scoring to IC for the districts related to flag capture. The more districts you have at the end of each evaluaton period the higher the Alliance score. Give out rewards every so often (10 or 15 minutes? Maybe 20 minutes?). That gives a kind of rolling/ongoing battlegrounds feel. The rewards aren't huge but enough to get people to stick around and help capture/defend flags, and they add up fairly quickly with each cycle being 10-15 minutes. While people are there they can also do quests, kill roaving horrors, etc. Lots of PvP chaos and filled streets running with blood. Basically a non-instanced, open, rolling BG.

A second battleground with a trial-like hybrid format could be added at Cloud Ruler Temple. This would be for people who want instanced BGs.

As for an Arenas, the one in IC could have a feature where if you beat it in quest mode you unlock a queue (like you would use to sign up for a dungeon via group finder) to get into a PvP version. Another arena could be added by expanding the sewers. One or both could be like Dragonstar where you start on Nirn but can also be transported to other locales, for example places in Coldharbour. This offers instances arenas.

You can still just do ganking in IC, or focus on completing PvE quests in IC, but there will be lots more people there and you will have extra options for things to do and rewards to receive.

FORGOT TO ADD:

- This means we can give IC its own population cap and queue. You can still access it from Cyro if you want, but it will be a separate zone.
- Instead of having to complete the story mode of the Arena District arena, they could also just add a quest giver there, in the sewers, and near Cloud Ruler for those instances. Accepting a quest permanently unlocks the instance in LFG, even if you drop it.

While the ideas sound interesting , I have a problem with this .

Right now the population cap is shared between IC and upper Cyrodiil . This has already caused serious issues for factions trying to play the map . Adding more reasons to be in IC will simply exasperate the situation .

I'd like the IC population removed from upper Cyrodiil population first . Secondly , these Arenas will no doubt pull the population even further away from campaign play so we need ideas to correct that .

If it even can be done ...

I mentioned the separate queue/pop cap thing in a comment for another thread where I first thought of this. Didn't realize I didn't copy it over. Will edit the OP.

As for Cyro and AvA, that is ZOS's fault. If they can't get performance up to a much higher standard and add fun new/expanded things, AvA will keep losing pop and the number of campaigns will keep shrinking. PvPers will continue to leave for other games. Delaying improvement in one area of PvP because of endless problems in another just diminishes PvP as a whole in ESO.

I would rather have many PvPers stay and do the new IC/instanced content for BGs/Arenas and then go back to Cyro when it is sufficiently improved than have them abandon the game altogether. Some will go to the new content because it's what they really wanted anyway and will never go back to Cyro, but they will stay in ESO. Some will want to split their time between AvA and the IC/instanced PvP content but will spend more time in the latter until Cyro gets better. Some will want to focus on AvA but will use the IC/instanced content to tide them over until Cyro is fixed. Others will just flat out leave because AvA is problematic and they are tired of waiting, but, keeping the rest is a good thing.

Just give us ranked and practice arenas you queue in to, 1v1 and 2v2, no quests to get in, etc...do it Zos pls.

Going to visit the quest giver once is a nod to people worried about players leaving Cyrodiil. It's a one time trip so people at least visit Cyro once. It could be skipped, of course, but that doesn't sound like how ZOS does things.

No problem..... but doubt we'll see the famous IC arena turned into the PvP arena........ Like that thread was made way before IC even before B2P.......... ZoS had 2 chances to add PvP arenas already ......... 2 ...... Yea...... Just watch they'll do some Malstrom pocket Oblivion realm for PvP arenas or something just watch... no Colosseum no roaring crowds no cheering just you and some one else in a quiet arena .........................

Yeah I was here for all of that but I'm still pushing. I think they may be more open to some things now given how bad it's all gone.
