Hey

I'm a new player to ESO and I mostly play on my laptop which has really low specs:

System Model: SATELLITE C55-A-1N1
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200M CPU @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8104MB RAM
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
DAC type: Internal
Display Memory: 1824 MB
Dedicated Memory: 192 MB
Shared Memory: 1632 MB
Current Mode: 1366 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)
My computer struggled running ESO on medium setting so I mostly played on low settings. But recently I came across shaders and sweetfx, and suprisingly it made my game look much better without too much loss on FPS (I mostly get 30 to 40 FPS on these settings which is pretty good for my laptop).

Final result (I didnt have any proper screenshot to compare to how it was before, but it was pretty ugly xD)

I know this isn't amazing but it is the best I could achieve with my specs. If anyone has the same problems as me I will post how I have achieved this (reshade + sweetfx) you can find many tutorials online and I will post the links to the mods I used :)

The distance fade and overall look is actually interesting. I feel like all it's missing is an outline and you'd be playing The Border Scrolls: Lands of Pandora

(which... almost makes me want to do this on purpose now >w>)

I am surprised you can even get this game to run on an HD4600 CPU Graphics, that alone is an accomplishment.

The Fog effects can actually reduce frame rates so removing those have the possibility of improving performance, as long as you keep the View Distance at a reasonable value. Which means close to stock or even a bit less.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Agree with Nestor, it's pretty good out of an HD4600. My laptop settings are similar to yours but with an Iris instead, I was equally impressed when I run the game for the first time on it – when I joined the beta in 2014 I had an older laptop with an HD3000 and though the game launched it barely drew one triangle of every three :#

    Have you tried entering Cyrodiil?

Interested to know to your results in large battles with the low voltage dual core i5-4200M processor.

My PC is worse than yours and, well, to me your PC would be a godsend! I'm surprised my laptop has survived my lag rage. I used to be able to play fine until January, since then it jumps between 0 and 30 fps, on minimum settings, in PVE zones. :'(

Isn't using Sweetfx a 3rd party tool? I don't know enough about the tech but couldn't that trigger some anti cheat issues or am I way off on that? Cause I use the same laptop and I could use a boost in gfx like that.

I do a lot of PvP and Cyrodiil is fine, FPS falls down a lot when there are a lot of players on battling on screen but it is playable

I researched it before I downloaded it and most ppl say it doesn't trigger the anti cheat

I run it on my Surface Pro 3 (i5/8GB/256GB/HD4400) when I'm traveling. It's not great, but it lets me do my daily crafting, mount upgrades, trading etc.

My biggest problem is that I use the Logitech G13 Game Controller on my desktop and when I'm using the surface, I don't have it with me, so I can barely even walk around without getting confused. :D

Thanks for posting it here. I have 4gb Ram, Intel HD4000 and Nvidia 720M. I played Dragons Dogma on 800x600 and I am running ESO on low/medium, thanks to this: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/165097/for-players-with-low-end-machines I was able to get nice fps boost in PvE and PvP but my concern is PvP. Right now I have around 8fps while taking keeps(lets say 20 or people on my screen). If anyony would give any advice how to increase my fps to at least 15-20 that would be great.

P.S.I have played on the lowest settings but it did not help at all.

Which CPU do you have? Large PVP battles are rather demanding on the processor.

If you are already on lowest settings, tweaked the config file and 800x600 resolution, only other thing that might help is avoiding large battles, switching to low pop campaign or something like shissu's PVP boost mod, which disables particle effects: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info882-ShissusGameAvABooster.html

Warning though, if you set Shissu's to lowest possible setting, it becomes kinda hard to tell what's going on because abilities become invisible.

Also, Imperial City frame rates are generally much higher even in high pop campaign.

I have i5-3230M 2,6Ghz(laptop, if that makes difference). I will try to play on 800x600 and see how it goes. I do understand that I will get much better frame rate in Imperial City and on not crowded campaign.
