I saw that this guy's Senche was literally unaffected by the terrain in Hew's Bane. All the little hills, grooves, rocks, and peddles, the Senche completely unaffected and kept its momentum. No wonder he kept beating me to nodes lmao.

This is ridiculous. Makes me want to buy a Senche to be honest. Tired of the horse being slowed down after running over a peddle.

@Mojmir it's really not faster, it's smaller and you're closer to the ground so you feel extra speed. There are tiny differences in mounts, however the speed/stamina/inventory upgrades are actually all equal. Kitten mounts are more accurate and easier to control, where the guars seem clumsy with their big feets and huge movements.

This. I also have the feeling that the coarser is even slower than the shriven horse. Senches and wolves move the fastest and are easier to steer.

Due to their size and shape the mounts feel different. The senches "flow" better in my experience. Bears are the worst and camel close to that

Don't know if it's a fact but this is how they feel in my experience. Horses are also good so I use them for all my males and senches for my females.

There is absolutely no difference between different mounts. I use a different mount for all my chars, including a senche lioness

I like my bears, they move like my ferretts. The cats and wolf do feel faster but I think it's the way their legs move in the animation.

If you're so desperate to be first to the nodes roll a sorc and bolt "escape" between them - no time lost with all that mount/dismount nonsense either.

i equipped my bear to my khajit for about 5 minuites once

between the bear wabbling, and the tail swishing i started to get motion sick! LOL

No. It's true. I have both and prefer my senche for that very reason.

The speed of all mounts are the same, even if one looks faster when riding.

BUT....... I have noticed a much smoother run with the senche compared to my horse. The horse stutters and jerks everytime you jump and land while running. Where as the Senche continues running without interruption after jumping.

Try it. Run with the horse (I use the fire horse) and jump, when you land the horse stutters and slows down. Then continues back up again. Then run and jump with a Senche and you land smoothly with no stutter and continue running full speed.

I actually just submitted a bug report on this yesterday. It makes riding my horse (the fire one) unbearable.

Probably more to do with him knowing to go around the things that would get you stuck or jumping over them.

I have... using franklins mini map with the fps(feet per second) turned on and found no real difference both normal horse and Dro m'Athra senche had about the same speed range. It was however odd to see the FPS vary while riding on what I thought was a flat area.

The sole reason of testing is when I switched to the senche it gave me the feeling of being a bit faster than my normal mount.

Get the "Rapid Maneuver" Alliance War skill; it will make your mount super fast for 17 seconds...and you'll beat almost anyone to the next node (at least who doesn't have the skill)...I can't tell you how many times I've used that skill when I'm farming nodes or farming skyshards. It is a quality of life improvement!

But with a max speed+stamina mount it does make stopping on cliff edges near impossible...

There are also sets that will help. Cyrodiils ward 3 piece bonus gives 15% increase to mount speed. I personally run 5/5 darkstride set and 5/5 fiords legacy i can run for ever with the darkstride in well fitted and run faster than others on mounts with the 15% increase to run speed from fiords and major expedition

You have to learn how to zig and zag with the terrain and weave around all the little bumps. It takes some practice but it's like skiing around moguls. Once you get it down the terrain won't be a problem anymore.

Yeah farming, don't ride at all. I built a Stamden Cyrodiil Runner.

Cowards Gear 30% Major Expedition & Major Portection (At all times) + Darkstride gear for your Sprint Reduction and Sneak. Traits Well-Fitted.

Steed Mundus, Medium armor and all Passives to increase movement plus all 3 piece jewelry swifted.

Warden can use the Bull Netch to feed your stamina. You will never run out of stamina and can out run some horses, not all. But you won't need to dismount and mount.

I feel the cats do move a lot better, I notice them in Cyrodiil, as its the largest map. Over many different terrain, they recover quickly and carry on. As for speed its the same.
