Arm "Armor" on Dark Shaman Costume

I would also like it better if the armor was replaced with jewelry that complimented the belt.

But what I REALLY long for is an outfit like this that is ELEGANT. Perhaps a beautifully embroidered top (I REALLY REALLY LIKE THE TOP) and a skirt that sits low on the hip like this but has beautiful shiny fabric like the upper tier Khajiit fabrics. And pretty delicate jewelry. Come on ZOS, make my year. Start giving us some costumes that are actually attractive. Please.

Hey folks, please weigh in on this costume. I am curious to see what people think of what, to me at least, is some really illogical and clunky design that ruins an otherwise lovely piece.

I like it just as it is.

That armor serves logical purpose: it protects the arms against blows. Note the armor covers the shoulders and forearms. The elbows are left exposed to preserve mobility of the joints and the rerebraces can catch blows the bracers cannot. What is illogical in the armor design is all vital organs are left unprotected. I guess the designer either requires these be uncovered for magical reasons or assumes the wearer skilled enough to deflect all blows to the chest and head.

I would add a small cape, partially covering chest, shoulders and back, somewhat like Altmer Motif Light Shoulders or Mages Guild Robes:



Of course, with some stitches and maybe magic symbols.

Oddly enough I rather like it. As if the arm pieces are ceremonial or something like that. But then again I think I'm the only person in the game who actually loves the barbaric style, so....*shrug*

I don't particularly dislike it, but I'm not crazy about it either. I probably won't buy this costume anyway because it doesn't suit any of my characters.

I really like the costume except for the weird shoulder plates and over-large gauntlets.

It will be one of the few costumes I won't buy for that reason. Were the shoulders and forearm armors replaced with jewelry, I'd most likely buy it, though I'd prefer the armor removed entirely.

Keep the shoulder parts (maybe streamline them a wee bit better so they don't jut out so much, but that's not really all that jarring to me), however replace the arm bracers with a more form-fitting piece, like it was something made of leather or cloth, like what is present with the lower level medium Bosmer armour.

I have to say I'm a little surprised. The forearm stuff is just so huge and clunky and doesn't look like it belongs with the rest of the outfit to me. Also, this doesn't seem as if it's meant to be armor at all so throwing on huge clunky arm armor is just really perplexing to me.

I'm about 50/50 on the design. I think a bit more curvature at the shoulder and making the wrist armor a bit less....well less would do wonders.

The rest of it I love though!

Both the shoulder piece and the gauntlet should be removed. It's supposed to be shaman armor, they didn't wear leather/linen pieces of armor like that.

Maybe some feather bracers, just as accessory...

If i'm honest, the arm pieces seem a bit redundant to me, but then i'm not a fan of bare-chested armour sets. It can be hard to find the right balance between practical and fantastical when it comes to armour. The skirt part is better (but then I prefer the rough, functional look over super-shiny, super-colourful stuff). Overall, it feels a bit too contrived for my taste.

I voted Other, since only the forearm plates seem off to me.. The way that they lift from the arm is weird
