Use your heads guys, this won't be for a long time, what would be the point in them raising lots of sets and master weapons to CP160 if they'll just become obsolete?

I don't see the max gear level being raised any time soon but I expect it will happen eventually. My guess is there will be a new material, CP170 gear will use a low quantity of mats so everyone could upgrade to this fairly easily and CP180 gear will need a lot of materials (similar to how CP150 and CP160 gear are now).

Honestly, it strikes me as more likely that the material cost for 160 will be scaled way back to v15+1 costs, instead of the current v15*10 costs. Then add in a tier 11 material.

But, that's going to raise new questions, because it would require raising the skill cap from 50 to 55 (or more) for the crafting trees... so, yeah, I don't see this happening anytime soon.

I really hope there is a new tier of mats, the IC release was the first time since 2014 where we actually had a time where everyone was gearing up rather than saving all the mats/ap prior to a content release to gear up immediately.
