First 10 minutes will be great!
10-30 minutes will be awesome.
30-50 will be a copy of 10-30
50-70 will be a copy of 10-30
There will be a break of 10 minutes because the movie stopped. The person left of you will get a full refund and a first class seat. The person right of you will be told that there is no problem at all. You will be told that it's your fault. You should go home, come back, buy a new ticket for the show and be gratefull.
70-75 will you miss because of some rowdies
75-85 will be bollywood physics with 20 smurfs dancing in the background
85-95 will be stop-motion
Then the movie will suddenly end with a frozen screen for 5 minutes
In the credit screen you will see advertisments to buy additional scenes you missed before
When leaving the hall you will be charged extra and the rowdies get free tickets for the next show
On the outside the director will cry and raise the ticket prices while wiping his tears with 100$ notes
For some reasons you will like it

If Zenimax is involved, I'd boycott it on principle at this point.

Agreed.
It might be all right if they picked a particular event from lore (Battle of Red Mountain, Akaviri Invasion, Alessia's Rebellion) and used a movie to flesh out the events and characters involved. But anything following the games would be, at best, a Mary-Sue-fest that loses both the tone and most of the events from the games. I have very little confidence that even good writing and direction could get that right.

Blizzard did it. I expect Bethsoft to follow their lead. I mean - they have followed pretty much every step of the way praying to have the same success as Blizzard. Sadly, they fail.

Blizzard has a highly successful CCG. Bethsoft publishes a CC. (Not even a creative divergence either)

Let's see...
- Lord of the rings
- Harry Potter
- The Chronicles of Narnia
- Game of Thrones
All 4 come from extremely famous and rich series of books, with world-wide reputation.
What video-game ever succeeded on the big screen or on TV ?
I think... none. Even The Witcher failed (and it was backed up by high-quality literature too). WoW failed.
TES might be a golden franchise within the gaming sub-world, but it is unknown anywhere else. Noone knows about Elder Scrolls outside the gaming industry. There's no literature behind the Elder Scrolls lore.
Besides, even if the lore is very rich, it's spread over thousands of lorebooks with different points of view and tidbits of mysterious infos and clues. It is a great storytelling technique for a videogame, but I'm not sure it would make enough material for a good story for a movie or a serie.
I hope they'll refrain from trying it, it's doomed to fail imho.
