So I just beat veteran maelstrom arena..

I just beat it on my stamina dk, however, it did not give me a total score at the end and did not place me anywhere on the leaderboard? what gives? Do you have to have under a certain amount of deaths or something? and what gets you the maelstrom weapon?

You have to do the arena in one go to get a score so you can't leave or log out and come back. The weapons are a random drop from the last chest

if you logged out, left for more than 15min, or disconnected it counts as a saved run and you don't get leaderboard. You get maelstrom weapoms from last chest after last boss.

    I'm running dual wield/two hand.

    1L/5M/1H
    Full stamina glyphs

Molag Kena helm infused (health glyph)
    Bloodspawn shoulder well fitted
    Marksman chest divines
    Marksman hands divines
    Marksman legs divines
    Marksman waist divines
Dreugh King Slayer boots well fitted

One hand agility axe sharpened (wep dmg glyph)
One hand agility axe sharpened (disease glyph)
    Two hand agility maul defending

Agility necklace robust (wep dmg glyph)
Dreugh King Slayer ring healthy (wep dmg glyph)
Dreugh King Slayer ring healthy (wep dmg glyph)

    Serpent mundus stone

Buffed I'm at 24k health, 4100 wep dmg, 34k stamina, 1.8k Stam Regen. I'm an imperial I should mention.

    As for champion points...

    71 thaumaturge, 71 mighty, 25 blessed
65 hardy, 70 elemental defender, 32 thick skinned
    100 mooncalf, 55 warlord, 12 tumbling

    I'm at 580/501 champion points.

    Bar1
    Venom claw
    Noxious breath
    Rearming trap
    Bloodcraze
    Rapid strikes
    Flawless dawnbreaker

    Bar2
    Shuffle
    Resolving vigor
    Rally
    Volatile armor
    Igneous shield
    Dk standard of might

This is a pve only build and will do a ridiculous amount of damage. Like seriously it's absurd how much damage it does. I killed the round one boss in less than one minute lol

Some advice. Prioritize targets. Most dangerous targets first and hit them with full dots then 2 or 3 rapid strikes. I can take down a crematorial guard in about 3 seconds on round 9 so you won't be lacking in damage. Basically buff up, apply dots, heal and re-buff, apply dots. Rinse and repeat. Shouldn't really need a gap closer the arenas aren't that big.

I wanted to throw my controller several times. However. I found relaxing by taking a break and coming back to it with a clear head allowed me to focus on what mistakes I was making and how I could improve on my next attempt.

Use tri-pot potions. Make sure you have a lot. I go in with about 100 to be safe. They are relatively cheap now.

Hope this works for you! If you need advice on any rounds let me know I'll try to help you out.

It didn't tell me my score because I left and came back. Logged out and came back and what not. See my OP. I wish it told me I only used a handful of power ups. Mostly on rounds 6, 8, and 9. I found round 8 to be very easy tbh. Round 6 and 9 were the hardest. I hate spiders lol.

Ah I thought it still told you a score but it just wouldn't be recorded. I finished vMSA on my Stam DK with my highest 447k (thanks to some mistakes I did) but for some reason I struggle on my Mag DK lol which is suppose to be easier.

Also as you can see from my build I don't run an execute. The reason is if all dots are firing it ends up being around 30k a second anyway while you are spamming rapid strikes. So my buff bar gets an extra slot instead of using executioner that hits for roughly 25kish on a good day.

    More dots.

@Hutch679 thanks for sharing. Did you use volatile armor throughout or did you swap that for wings on certain rounds?

I'm stuck on the boss on round 5. I get overwhelmed with adds every time right after the boss breaks the first platform.

@Hutch679 thanks for sharing. Did you use volatile armor throughout or did you swap that for wings on certain rounds?

I'm stuck on the boss on round 5. I get overwhelmed with adds every time right after the boss breaks the first platform.

    For round 5 try this...

    Front bar
    Venomous claw
    Rearming trap
    Evil hunter
    Bloodcraze
    Bloodthirst
    Flawless dawnbreaker

    Back bar
    Rally
    Igneous shield
    Resolving vigor
    Reflective scale
    Critical rush
    Corrosive armor

Round 5 was tough for me. I had to use all the power ups but will practice more on trying to only use 3 then down to 1 or none eventually. So they way I do it, is I start on the platform with the healing power up. Don't take it right away. Instead take the boss to about 80% and kill all the adds. Then reapply all your buffs, dots, and take the boss to 75% and get to the platform with the haste power up. Take down the adds quickly as they can overwhelm you. To avoid the main bosses attacks keep moving left and right in a circle around the boss. Once the adds are down, pour your damage in the boss, as soon as he drops to about 50% he is going to break the platform, grab the haste buff and get the hell out of there. Now you should be on the final platform and the boss will have around 40%. Grab the defense power up and Kill THE ADDS FAST. Once the adds are down grab the damage power up and zero the boss with everything you have. You easily bring him down to zero with no adds on you. Make sure you keep up all your buffs. It is not easy and you will need to practice this a bunch but I have that's the easiest method to clear round 5 final boss.

You want to make sure he absolutely does NOT take out the platform with the defense and increased damage power ups as that's the platform you want to be on last.

You also have the option of using Corrosive armor on the last platform as it make you basically invisible for 10 seconds.

Let me know how you end up. Good luck! Ps. Round 6 is brutal if you don't know how to do it. I can help you with it as well.

Do you completely understand the mechanics of the first boss? I find that being able to fully understand what the boss casts and what skills he uses that do mass amounts of damage and how to avoid them will help you to complete it.

For the first boss he starts out very simple basically allowing you to just apply a lot of damage on him. He then summons adds, teleports and begins casting several magic attacks at you. As a Dk, you can reflect these. What I do, is lay out tons of damage on the boss, as soon as he teleports I begin killing the adds and cast reflective scale in between abilities killing the adds. Once the adds are down, time to lay it on the boss again. He teleports in a clockwise circle and only has about 560k health which is relatively weak compared to the boss in round 7 that has 1.2 million health. The first round boss is rinse and repeat killing adds then laying damage on the boss. Remember dodge roll sparingly and blocking is also your friend. But use those wings to reflect that shots he's throwing at you.

The other thing that helps is to find a rotation of buffs, heals, and damage. Don't just debit on the boss dealing as much damage as possible then your buffs run out and your dead.... Do damage, heal, rebuff, damage, heal, rebuff, damage.. Etc. A mistake a lot of people make is they "omg I have him at 10% I'm just gonna burn him!" mistake. Heal rebuff stay calm. That last 10% is no different than the first 10%. Keeping a cool head and fully understanding mechanics will allow you to succeed.

If you have any questions I can help. Stage 2 gets trickier.
