Console VS PC

I've had ESO uninstalled for like a month now. The main reason I quit the game is because of the fact that it's the same names in PvP day after day after day, and that's never good for any video game. There are tons of problems with ESO PvP; Balance, bugs, and the refusal to add small scale PvP battlegrounds more than TWO years after release. I could suck all that up though. I could ignore all that because the game really did have solid combat mechanics. What I can't forgive, is releasing this game to console. It absolutely killed it for PC gamers. seeing the same names in PvP over and over again is the sign of a dead game. Where are all these 3 million players? a lot of them dont even touch PvP, becuase theres no reason for them to get frustrated for absolutely no gain, but the main reason is that they are all playing console now because the casual gamer always wins.

The release of ESO on console was the death of the PC servers. That being said, I understand why it was done. ZoS cannot compete with other big names in the industry that are solely for PC, MOBAS are killing everything, and hell, WoW intentionally releases content in response to other games in order to dominate the industry. So what is the obvious answer for ZoS? put their game on console, where WoW and MOBAs can't touch it.

I wont be coming back to ESO... Not anytime soon at least. I absolutely loved the games mechanics and combat style, But i'm not going to fight the same people for the next year as the game dies (at least on PC). Apparently the game is thriving on console.

My point: ZoS might not care about this post at all, and may have in fact intentionally sacrificed all their PC gamers just to jump on the console bandwagon for more money, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. But something in me wants to believe otherwise. I WANT to reinstall this game and have fun with it.

So when you clicked on this, you probably thought it was going to be a debate on what is better, PC or console, hence the "VS", But coming from a PC gamer, we just need to accept the fact that console has won this war.

Instead of argueing which is better, this post is a call to REMOVE that little "VS" in the title. The ONLY way I would come back to ESO is if it was made cross platform. I dont see this happening anytime in the near future but it's certainly a goal to work for. I understand, it will NOT be easy. a LOT of pioneering will need to be done to find ways to balance out the console-PC handicap, and balance isn't exactly what ZoS is known for. Maybe all of you are happy I left, and are perfectly content with letting the PC servers on this game suffer for another year before they are completely dead, and that's fine too, maybe you'd rather see that than even CONSIDER trying to find ways to make this game cross platform.

If that's the case, I'm sorry you wasted your time and clicked on this post.

People on console would probably disagree. We get patches late, we have lots of technical issues, no add ons etc.

In all honestly, I think the grass is always greener...

WOW, with an attitude like this I'm glad your not coming back anytime soon, infact do everyone a favour and consider never returning.

well certainly on console you will see more of a variety of names as casuals flock for the next coolest thing and then move on to the next while in pc you see ppl who are more devoted

Haha, "WoW intentionally releases content in response to other games in order to dominate the industry"
Man, there hasn't been an update in over 14 months now  That's one hell of strategy

I play mainly PvE and I have no problem meeting new people. Actually, it's the other way around, I miss a community where I know the nicknames, but there are so many people that it's impossible. Downside of a megaserver :/

Some of us simply refuse to do PvP on ESO, if I'm going to play a game where its just endless zerging with a large force then I'll go play Planetside 2. I have a fully decked out Sunderer on the NC side with Engineer, Medic, and MAX all armed to the teeth on PC.
