Just a thought, I used to get frequent crashes before TG if i put my PS4 to rest mode and didn't nuke the application (would include ejecting the disc).

As a thought, for at least PS4 users, make sure if you set it to rest that when you restart the PS4 you close and fresh open the application.

@ZOS_AlexTardif for this reason I think it might be you guys have some global variables that are being kept in memory and not cleared when exited to the load screen (ie you get booted for inactivity) that get locked into memory during a rest. I think if you have the load screen that takes you to the server splash clear all application variables it'll probably remove the memory overflow or conflicting RAM information and rectify the issue.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but i strongly believe it is indeed related to the destro staff. Here's me doing some vma, and the only part you need to watch is from 40 seconds until like 1:30. When I kill the clannfear with a destro it freezes, but the lich crystals, which i overload, don't...except for the one i use the destro staff on!!

This is on xbox, and is driving me bananas.

Moved my game to external hd, turn off all wifi devices in my house, use wired connection, you name it. It happens everywhere though, dungeons, sewers, you name it. Makes my sorc a little loathsome to play, which sucks cuz I love him

Not exactly ideal but it does fix the issue
@ZOS_AlexTardif just tagging you to let you know that this fixes the problem, so it must be sonehow related to ui or ui memory etc

In dungeons my FPS goes from 50 to 10. I'm using 5 x Winter born and ice abilities and when I get winterborn to proc it literally fractures FPS.

If that wasn't bad enough, I use 5x winterborn, 2 x iceheart and ice staff abilities and when all those start hitting combined and winterborn proc's like 3 or more times on a few seconds and then combined with other players particle effects I hit 10 or less FPS.

I run 3260 x 2160 DSR resolution on a 2840x 1660 monitor and GTX Titan gpu. I've been thinking of overclocking my CPU to see if that will help, but idk

I've been paying this game for a year now and the performance has gotten progressively worse- even as i ve updated my computer.
have there been budget cuts to the tenhcinal department? get ur heads out of ur arses and off homestead and crown crates guys- make the game work like what we paid for.

This has been happening forever and isn't exclusive to Fire staffs, or even Destro staffs. Game skips upon landing the kill blow—no idea what causes it, I just know that it has happened plenty of times on my stam chars

OCing the CPU will help as the game is CPU bound, and bound to single-threaded speed.

It's got a lot worse since 1T, I was in a trial and getting 15fps a moment ago and am on a GTX1080 SC ACX3.0 and a Core i7 6800K.

Game is not even that great looking in battles, outdoors is often nice.

Same kind of issue has happened when using a waypoint at times...some players would spam certain strong spells and and knock you out of the game....probably intending to overload your video card? Some players just gotta play games?
