Hand to hand skill line magic based

now i have been thinking on this for quite a while cause i would really like to have a hand to hand fighting style. i have used it in all the other ES games and think it would be nice to have here. now as for the abilities and perks that would be up to the creators anyway so i havent put much thought into those but i do believe the could put it down as a magic base rather then stamina. It may sound strange but hear it out first before throwing it away. I first came to this idea when i looked through all the skills and noticed that while stamina has three melee skill lines and one ranged skill line, magic has but only two skill lines and both are ranged. now this may not seem like a big deal range having an advantage but consider how i play. i am largely a close combat dragonknight. but have many spell attacks. so none of my power attacks charge my magic only my stamina so i lose almost half of my attack power the moment my magic gets too low. were as any one who runs stamina or magic at range will have power attacks to keep them in constant supply of their tools. now this isnt the only reason i came to this idea cause that would be too selfish for just one play style. but also it gives means to still make it look as though it is an actual skill. see anyone can throw a punch but not everyone would be skilled at fusing magic into a melee attack. i've also thought that in case of the use of equipment there could be a set of knuckles to be forged to so to speak harness magic to deploy as an actual attack. just a thought really and would like to know what ZOS thought on this idea would be. is it even viable?

    I would prefer if it would be health based, we have nothing what would scale from health - and it would be a real counter to the normal magicka/stamina min/max thing, if it would be scaled from health. Maybe even with some special moves, where bonus effect scales with magicka or stamina - which would give hybrid builds something interesting. Like a war cry belongs to magicka, because it is similar to the fear effect in illusion magic, but a wheel kick would be stamina based, because it requires to get the momentum right.

    What I want to say with it, a war cry would scale from health+magicka - a wheel kick from health+stamina - like this for example.

    I made a thread long ago about having elemental affinities that could probably work as a one-handed spellsword type thing but not gonna bother. This game needs to come around considerably before I decide to come up with new skill ideas for it. Either way you're not the first to request hand to hand skills OP.

    But if it's any consolation I can kill Mammoths naked and bare-handed on my main doing nothing but throwing punches :p

    They really just need to add wands or spell focuses or something to give magicka more options. I really do wish there was a martial arts type combat, but I can't see them adding it. Least of all under magicka.

    Also, you can't have anything that scales off of health because it would be silly overpowered to stack health and get all of the benefits of balancing health and a resource rolled into one. It might be interesting to have fist weapons and have some magicka morphs in the weapon set though.

    Honestly, they could add a crapton of build variety if they would add a 3rd morph to everything and make sure that most skills had at least one stam and one mag option. I know it'd be a ton of work making a balanced set of skills, but jebus it would be nice.

    This wouldn't really fill that spellsword or magic in each hand thing known to Elder Scrolls but is what I would like to see.
