A fully charged HA can crit for 20k+ in PVE even on a NB. Since he uses it for burst it might be empowered by Magelight.
If you change some of you armor to impenetrable traits you should not get hit with such high crits.

Definitely possible. I've hit a guy for 16k with a bow heavy attack out of stealth in pvp

my stam sorc setup can slam people with 13k heavies from stealth, i'v managed to land a 17k once, lowest i ever hit was 8k i think, it's doable, but most people just dont realise how powerful impen is in pvp. and how strong resistance piercing effects are.

Empowered, out of stealth, flame staff passive, CP star for increased light/heavy damage. There's a number of ways to get it that high.

That's weak... my heavies highest I've seen mine do is 25k so 12.5k with battle spirit.

Was that me?, I was playing "The White Rose" tonight so maybe not? Name doesn't look long enough. I don't mind sharing though what i think has occured. There's a new build being talked about since DB came out and changes to Armor sets and Traits that synergise well together. I tailored it to my self and tried it tonight for about 4 hours in PVP on my new NB since I have shelved my Mag Sorc. (shameless Nerf plug) >.<

Following someone else's guide which I cannot find now
1) I put 58 CP points into Staff Damage which upped it by 17+ % approximately

2) New Infused Trait Increases Weapon enchantment effect by 17%, and reduces enchant cooldown by 40%.

3) I'm also wearing Torugs Pact 5 Piece with a new 5 piece bonus for Dark Brotherhood: Reduces weapon enchantment internal cooldown effect by 1 second, and increases the potency of the enchantment effect by 30%.

Soooo, my "Yellow" CP160 Flame Weapon Enchant that was created tonight at 2660 delve was buffed to 4633 on my Purple Infused Fire staff i used tonight. My New NB is also a Altmer High elf so gets fire bonus passive as well I believe.

Oh and I was charging these Opening Heavy attacks from Stealth. Add in the NB Cloak bonus and it might make sense. I don't think it was me though in retrospect as I was at range almost all the time tonight, and rarely got my Soul Harvest off as planned lol. Too many speedy Stam toons dodge rolling all over lol.

People are building towards MAX burst not sustain, if you survived somehow...

You could have prob killed this guy in the sustain race...

Not saying this was the situation here but double dipping CP's + Elegance 5pc can give you a passive bonus up to 62% on Light and Heavy attack damage regardless of your class.
Add a bunch of buffs and procs from light/heavy triggers and in theory you'd be doing some decent regular damage.

DK Molten Armaments can take this to an extreme combined with a might empowered guild buff, but even a NB can self buff with Merciless resolve, guild empower and a guaranteed crit for a decent heavy attack at that point.

On my magicka nb a fully charged heavy attack with a maelstrom inferno from stealth I can hit up to 16.5k on people with low resistances or no buffs. Thats without an empower and only 10 points in staff expert. I can literally heavy attack and funnel health some people once and they die, if not an impale finishes them off.

But since everyone plays stam and shuffle is so broken alot of the stuff gets dodged, or incase of DK, reflected, if you don't kill them with that initial burst

Oh yeah, that 10K hit is nothing. I've gotten close to 20K with my wrecking blow and in the high 30K with stealth (although I'm still scratching my head over claims that others could dish out upwards to 80K and even over 100K punch.) I also gotten hit with a crazy 53K blast from an enemy boss. Yeah, one hit, one kill there.. Also, I believe my soul assault ultimate can generate in the high 30K to 40K.

With the Elegance set and CP into staff damage this is totally legit. I hate Nightblades and stealth cheese as much as anyone, but at least the guy who gibbed you is running something other than VD/tether/sap.

I am trying to make heavy / Light attack build for fun, because I know it'll probably end up being really bad.

Going Sorc with Lightning staff, elegance set with either Sergeant's mail or maybe Shock Master. Bound armements, flawless dawnbreaker and Rally. We'll see what I can do with it... lol... It'll probably be super gimmicky.
