Are costumes designed on both genders?

I just wondered if anyone knows if the costumes are designed on both Male and Female models? I know some companies design outfits and armour on Male models and then loosely change them to fit females. Does anyone know? :smile:

    I guess it makes sense that female outifts are designed on female models, but it would be inconsistent to design them on one or the other. Especially when it comes to unisex outfits and costumes.

    I think they are. Because my male orc wears wedding dress and gets lot of looks from others while dancing. Only explanation must be that he is so handsome. Right?

    I haven't kept up, but they did switch to just the male model. I am not sure if they brought the female back or not, but I am going to guess no..

    @Cazzy I think for financial reasons, at least that's what that thread mentioned above has settled on
    Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest

    Yea @Cazzy they announced a while back they were going to use one model for both genders.

    The thread @mommadani907 linked is pretty much the unofficial-official thread to complain about it. :lol:

    If you actually checked the OP of the thread you would discover that ZOS said it was a bug that they intend to fix. No ETA on that though...

    Either that, or you haven't tried to wear the Trinimac Pauldrons while wearing one of the base armor types. Really really horrible.

    I think ZOS needs to make adjustments for almost all the Armor and some of the costumes to accentuate the female form.

    The costumes for the most part I feel are OK on females but armor is horrible imo. It all looks tailored for male characters and just dumped on females. Common ZOS!

    Nothing, if you character HAS big boobs. If they don't and the costume inflates their chest, then there is a problem.
    I don't think the Elf Hero costume does that, though. I compared many times, and I think it is just the shape of the cleavage that makes your character's chest look a little bigger, and this happens in real life too so it's ok. I didn't identify any deformation on any of my characters, that generally have a small chest.

    Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

    Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
    Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
    Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
    Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
    Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
    Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
    Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
    Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
    Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
    Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    Absolutely! I haven't really seen the Elf costume one anybody to compare tbh. Costumes should just shape the character created, you're right :smile: My toon has big boobage and some costumes just makes them look bloated rather than shapely. In the really real world my boobs tend to get crushed in a lot of buttoned up or covered up outfits, so I can't imagine what armour does. It's definitely not accurate though.
