@Dracane The person who did the ultimate/fly hack (he was literally flying in the air) made a public statement saying he did it to bring the hacks to light which people have been using. He specifically, personally admitted that he was hacking and not simply exploiting game mechanics, instructed how to do it, and where to find the hacks. His long winded rant about how ZOS won't fix it despite numerous submissions and reports over a 2 year span was deleted because it was considered a "goodbye thread"

Honestly though if you can't look at someone flying in the air or casting meteor 1000x and realize that it's cheating then I don't know what to say to you.

This video is incredibly public and has the same name everyone knows already so I hope it's not considered naming or shaming now (seriously, please forgive this is the same very public name)
I really would just like Dracane to see that what he's saying is a little bit wacky. I don't bother wondering if my opponent cheats because it's not constructive for critical thinking and analysis, but it does happen and this same cheat allows you to manipulate your character more subtly, such as giving more stat regen or dodge chance than you would otherwise have.
It also supports movement speed hacking (going faster than your current expedition buffs or even a horse would bring you to)

If a good ganker catches you while you're not blocking or in your menu, their whole build is designed for this kind of quick kill, so it's hard to survive.

What helps is slotting radiant magelight and being really quick to block/ break CC / roll dodge, as soon as you hear the audio cues from combat music or abilities. You can react a bit faster if you are listening to the original game audio on headphones instead of some other music.

Just slotting radiant magelight on your bar is a strong counter as it reduces damage from stealth attacks by 50% and prevents the stun.

Also, would be a little easier to read your post if you add some line breaks.

It is not easy to do but some people CAN get you with a LOT of abilities before you ever see them.

Any EP or DC on PC/NA, can probably corroborate my experience here:
If you can survive a gank by Mizaru, please share your story. He can hit you with a heavy attack woven into a poison arrow, weapon swap canceled into ambush > surprise attack (canceled with a bash I assume) followed by an incap strike or dawn breaker or whatever. On the off chance that you do survive that, you have to be prepared for the execute that follows. Even with the execute, he's only visible for one full GCD. Two if his cloak by the execute. So... 2 seconds MAX

All you see is that final ult from a shadowy, evasion enabled figure and you've probably been hit by more than 20k damage... 30k potential with lots of crits and you have zero impen.

Let's be VERY CLEAR here: he's not cheating. He's playing perfectly within the rules. He's just perfected the NB gank and has the gear that gets the numbers.

That said, if you can survive his gank, how do *you* do it. I don't think I have yet but I'm running glass cannon myself, so I'm not sore about it.

yes my stamb nb got daggers with sharpened and pierce armor star like 2,5k and surprise attack debuff 5k if you are not 5x heavy i kill anything from stealth with incapacitating strike execute ambush etc etc doesnt matter if you have 7x impen i got 4k wep damage 5k with buffs and %89 crit chance

@Dracane, the cheat engine has been confirmed. Though there hasn't been any (known) cases on the EU server, it was a massive thing on NA when certain people started to jump skyhigh around in the air and drop 30 meteors in a row.
It's not the same bug you are referring to where ground based ultimates like nova or atronach could be dropped twice or even three times under certain circumstances.

I only know Dusk's cheat engine ahaha. He is going to cheat me 2k Magicka regen while maintaining my magicka. I payed him 10k

Anyway, people seem to get very angry in this thread, just because of what I assumed.
Understandable, cheat and exploits are disgusting and I don't want to see or believe in such things.

Oh i think they care and I bet it gets adjusted fairly soon.
What we're experiencing now is just the pendulum swing that resulted from an attempt to soften castable shields. We just swung a little too far into the penetration side.

We'll be back either in the middle or on the shield side again soon... I'm fairly certain.

Point being, unless u run a build with 35+k hp... u can't really deal with these builds. on the other hand, you can't build your character like that because you'll just suck verses everyone else. SO..... Yeah. Take the losses, you can't win every battle.

you got caught chatting and with your shields down (so the shields were not preventing critical hits). I'm betting you dont even have impenetrable gear (that is common in sorcs, but only works if you dont let your shields expire).

That death is 100% your fault. If you had ward up, he wouldn't even touch your health pool.

p.d: sorcs have the best antigank skill of the game, defensive rune. Magika sorc is hands down the hardest class to gank

To add to the point I think Mandrake and Roe are making, the ganker is making a huge sacrifice, too. If you catch them out of stealth, they are squishy as hell now.

I personally don't like that someone can kill a half decent player before they appear but we sometimes fail to realize that the player in question likely dies or runs away 90%of the time that he or she gets revealed because that build NEEDS the initiation and surprise bonuses if they're facing 2 or more enemies. Even a 1v1 without this surprise hit from stealth puts this player at a disadvantage against all but the weakest opponents.

But, SWG ran into this same problem of 1-shot kills, both from cheats and power creep. The easy solution that SOE made, at the time, was to limit DPS to 50% in PVP.

This "fix", during the NGE (after Restess) actually brought more people into PVP for a while as even the new players weren't DoA, and forced glass cannons to chose a bit in their builds. It had no effect on the PVE-ers as the limitation was a "de-buff" that appeared on anyone as they entered the PVP zone or hit /dual.

Should be an easy development "fix" here also. Have no idea if this would "fix" the CE as I have no experience with it, but if people are throwing high damage specials, 1 after another, it should at least help with that as well.

lol Then ZOS has went a little bit nuts on the DPS side if your only getting hit with 50% damage and still being 1-shot with 20K health. lol

I'd say it's time for another SWG addition here also, 80% mitigation on Heavy Armor.

I don't know. I have rally and shuffle up as much as I can. Other than that I guess I just have good reactions. As soon as I get ganked I roll, take an immovable pot and heal up, then go for the guy.

Well said man. Myself and a few other players I run in pvp with have already swapped back towards the between mark of the middle ground and high offense. Because of these a few of us are doing just fine except for the extreme cases of NBs that have absolute mastery of their craft which is ganking. Which I'm fine with that and that's how it should be.

The only tip I'm willing to give over the forums is "Bloodspawn set" it will almost by it self lead you to glory, but again this is my personal experience. And yes in most cases I found out that wearing heavy armor as a magicka player completely in my opinion is very bad then to wear the light armor because of the amount of penetration players are stacking these days.

Just to make it clear:) im faar from being one shoted as bigest hit I took was like 9k incapacitating strike while unbuffed, on my deah recap most of the time i take hits that are somewhere between 2,5-4k. The thing is that I have problem with SOME folks that burst me so fast (not with one shot but few skills) that i cant even react as I die before even my break free animation finishes, I thought that its suspicious but as I can see there are things that I could done better Its chalange for me and Ill try to make my build even better in terms of defense against this sneaky ninjas Once again Ty all for advices, cheers!

With all the bonuses to penetration - is it really worth it to stack resistance? Better invest CP in spell/psychical damage reduction and stack HP, probably more win than resistance.

For example, my Sorc runs at 11k resistance and even if I buff it to 20k with current penetration bonuses it is still the same as naked

P.S. Yesterday nightblade Critical Charged me from keep wall and by the time he reached me, I was dead. Recap showed like 6 attacks. I think things like this just happen randomly.

I used to run PVP with only 18k health as I was using drink. And it was actually very good. Now? I don't even log on anymore. My guild quit.
