Why you feel that you are entitled to personal playground in this game? We are all customers and for ZOS, I am sure it's important that everyone had a chance to finish every their released content. Too easy for you , get naked and run it without CP. if you wanna challenge. I dont, I have enough challenges in real life, I want to relax in video game and have fun. I dont wanna spend hours testing stuff and looking for what is actually performs better than tooltip says or what combinations gets you better dps. Self entitlement of some of you is sickening. How about older (age) customers, or customers with some disabilities? Not everyone just can Gid Gud.

Or take out the trolls that break them, the giant only breaks them at certain health levels.
I think s/he means s/he can't kill the boss before she breaks the last platform.
@GreenhaloX - leave the platform with the defensive + offensive sigils for last and when you're there pop them and burn the boss.
Why do you feel YOU are entitled to make the challenge of Veteran Mode, which it specifically says it is made for those who like a challenge, if you can't beat that, then why are you doing it, and then you are feeling entitled to make it so you are able to beat it. What about all the other people who enjoy working for something in the game? Some people treat the game as a hobby and put some passion into it and show off what they are able to do. Zenimax have to accustom to those people too you know? And I am not speaking about myself here. But Veteran Maelstrom is not made for casual players, that is what Normal is for. It's not made for casual players?I hate this dungeon so much!!!!!Why are npcs able to animation cancel?!?!?Why are the dam boss hit so dam hard?!?!? @Bao1340 the content is hard. intentionally hard. There are lots of guides on mechanics, guides on builds. Every class can complete the maelstrom. All it takes is a commitment and practice. but dont feel obliged or compelled.even BIS weapons will only last a few more months when vDSA is bought up to CP160. but if you do want to do it my advice is:
Practice is better than any amount of CP or Gold Gear, most players think they are lacking. i often hear ill try again "when i hit the CP cap". or "when i have maxed my gear"I have yet to hear one person say "I struggled when i had 400 CP but as soon as i hit 501 CP it became easy, I had no further problems"
They already nerfed prison and WGT into dust casual level difficulty. This is the last piece of hard content outside of 12 man trials. I dont know why so many complain about it
After around 360CP you start to see some diminishing returns, there really isn't huge noticeable differences if you're just trying to clear it.GreenhaloX wrote: »willymchilybily wrote: »That reminds me need to get the title on my new magblade.

Haaa, come on.. there is a big difference between 400 and 501 CPs, let me tell you. Those 501s running around are doing way more damages to the enemies and seems to be able to absorb more damages than those who are not 501. With another 100 CPs, that is a lot of points to plus up your character. Generally, yes, practice makes perfect, but higher weapon damages output and being able to absorb damages comes with leveling up your skills, armors and gears.. and do make things easier in the game, especially Maelstrom. I went in Maelstrom the first time when I was about 230 CP and I couldn't get through the Lamia queen stage because I was lower in poison defense. Now that I am closer to 400 CPs, I have boosted my poison defense and breezed through the Lamia queen stage. Also, in one of those youtube clip, the guy is 501 CP and breezed through all the Maelstrom stages whacking everything left and right with a few hits and barely taking any damages, even in the higher stages.

Oh, I see.. so, is that damn troll is going around and softening the ice then. So, then that big giant momma is able to pounce and break the ice platform afterward. Cool.. if I can take out the troll before he does his thing. Yes, it's not that giant that kills me.. it's falling into the ice water and scramming to run to the other ice platform, then that giant breaks the others and I was pretty much toast in the ice water, over and over again. Although, I saw a youtube clip of someone showing going through Maelstrom, and he seems to breeze through the stages fairly easy and quick. Even in the ice stage, after he fell in the ice water, he barely receive any damage, as he dashes through to the other platform. He must have high points on his elemental defense. So far up to this ice stage, I didn't die once and whacked every beasties and the bosses to oblivion. After I get through this ice stage, I'm sure I will have to come checking back to learn what other crazy secrets to learn of Maelstrom.

Actually, sounds like you're the one with entitle, ent issues. Guess what, you're playing an arena focused pon muscle ,memory. You said you're older, well guess what: You're body is becoming senescent, your brain isn't outputting myellin like it used to, having that memory retention isn't what it used to be. This is life, get over it, you can't use your [personal issues to demand handicaps for EVERYONE else. Let us have our 15-20 years we get to enjoy so,e damned games. Either cope with it, play something else, or take on to yelling at kids on your grass.
Why does everyone have to act like the world should bow to them, rather than just communicate for help or move the hell on? You know? There are probab;y older and more disabled (medical or injury) people beating maelstrom, could just ask for help. Bet he mever thought to turn on subtitles, or volume up, because what bosses in eso don't have monologues. (hint: boss in rnd5 talks before breaking platfor,s. talks before adds spawn. Oops, too much advice now I'm a filthy elitest. NERF MAELSTROM

So are you telling me that there are often both visual and audio queues to game mechanics?
Like when the Overfiend in vICP yells, "Lord Warden, aid me!" it isn't a coincidence that a Harvester spawns every single time?
Or when Matriarch Runa yells, "Ra um ra ra ra!" it might be time to know the exact location of the ranged mob spawn so that you can target and kill it immediately? Maybe paying attention and noticing this might make the fight 100x easier?
I'm not trying to be a sarcastic jerk here, but that is really is the reality of it. This stuff isn't impossible for anyone, it just takes a little bit more effort and thought.
The trolls will break the ice platforms if you leave them so you have to smack them, because the boss will break 2 platforms regardless, and you need the last one to finish her off.
The big giant momma boss has health thresholds when she will automatically break the platform she is on (I think first is at 75% and the next is at 50 or 45%) - she will glow red and you have to quickly move away to another platform or her platform break attack will most likely kill you.
Just darting through the water to the next platform shouldn't hurt too much - just don't linger in the water for too long.
The reason I tell you to leave the platform with def+off sigils for last is because if you grab those 2 you can ignore the ranged mobs and just burn the boss down. It really helps when you're just learning - the ranged mobs are a pain in there.

Thank you for the good tip, @Lore_lai. It's good to get positive feedback such as this..
