Alternative to willpower jewelry

I have been farming to get keys from IC but no luck on rings nor neck. What's an alternative to getting some good jewelry for Maelstorm arena.

Would say succession but that comes from VMA. 3pc with 2pc armour and Julianos on a sorc or DK actually works really well if you play it right, so if a DK use a flame staff with wall of elements, so you get the best of 2/3 rotations out of rather than just one. Sorc use a staff that isn't shock, your overload on succession rotation is nearly as powerful as a Kena boost for instance. Plus with crushing shock it's up all the time for part of it. Good set.

Bit other than will power it need something like cp140 / vet14 gold trial rewards like destructive mage which is pretty decent but you can't get that anymore or buy it.

Not sure what platform you're on or how feasible it is for you, but could you just farm up some gold and buy them in a guild store?

VD rings are more expensive though. Stupid money. Although they are generally gold for 100k, you could in theory try 4pc VD, 5 Julianos, 1x torugs staff and other armour piece. Should give higher than average crit and quite powerful. Expensive set up though.

Moondancer / Infallible Aether and maybe Elegance are the only real alternatives in pve from what I see. Everything else is just a weaker version of willpower.

The ones with Magicka enchantment are expensive, the ones with Stamina added are cheaper but you probably are trying to max out Magicka.

I see them go for like 20k each on xbox eu. Willpower seems to be more.

Trinimac is Max Magic and Magic Recovery on the 3 piece; you have to farm it though.

A viable alternative, maybe even better in the outcome than Willpower would be Moondancer.

However that's comes very rarely from Leaderboards or Maw of Lorkhaj trials. The latter is not difficult with a competent team, but you would want a strong setup to go in there, which for the current situation would be the Willpower you don't have.

In that case, and considering the Magicka cost has been increased with latest patches making 2pcs of Molag Kena even less viable due the Overkill cost, you might get something decent by combining 2 Torugs's Pact (one sword/dagger and helmet), 2 Worm Cult (two rings) and 2 Vicious Death (one sword and one necklace).

Worm Cult rings and Vicious Death Necklace are not that expensive (around 30k each jewelry) and Torug's Pact is craftable.

Of course, that won't work if you use a staff. In that case you'll have to choose one of the three to give away, but still...

shadow dancer jewelry gives 2X max magica, for 3 pieces; could work depending on your set up/build

On ps4 they cost like 80-100k I've been saying but if I buy one I'll be broke I'm not doing that for one ring

The costs associated, you have to be careful because not all Willpower is the same... I got excited to see a cheap ring, only to realize that it wasn't the full Magicka version.

Keep checking guild traders. I got a willpower necklace for 25k and a ring for 35k still searching for the last ring. Some people just sell them lower than others. I have no idea why some are priced at 80k thkigh

I assume you have no maelstrom weapons.

If your a staff user 4 piece VD (staff and jewellery) and a crafted 5 set works quite well. Then you still have your head and shoulders free for a monster set or 2 piece torugs.

Force pulse and a nerien'eth set can work quite nicely

Buy them with gold.
Currently on PS4: Willpower Arcane are hella cheap. I saw rings going for as low as 45k.
(As comparaison, I paid 80k/90k per rings months ago, after 1 week of monitoring prices)

If you don't have the gold, go with Robust or Healthy
If you are a PVE player, buy some healthy ones.
If you are a PVP player, you can go with Robust if Healthy are too expensive.

Lately, I've seen a few Rings of Willpower Robust, going as low as 1k...

I ran with a mix of Robust/Healthy Willpower, a few months ago until I had the gold to finally purchase Arcane ones and it was totally viable.

You can also run some Vet dungeons
As an alternative to grinding trophies in the sewers, Agility/Willpower pieces have a chance to drop from doing Vet Dungeons... While doing my daily pledges this past month, I landed 1x Ring of Agility Robust and 2x Ring of Willpower Arcane.

Not only do you have the chance do land some willpower jewelry, you might get a monster set helm and if it's a pledge you will get a gold/silver keys for some guarantee Monster set Shoulder pieces and you will raise your Undaunted.

Cyrodiil's Light is now in the AP high end vendor boxes at CP160 ... but it is it's own RNG nightmare to open enough boxes to get the full jewelry set.

As the prior poster said, there's no substitute for Willpower.

Willpower is literally the only one worth looking in to. They're well worth it.

There are plenty of good builds with out needing anything else.

I used this when I was struggling to get some arcane rings and neckless.

Health willpower rings and neckless are dirt cheap these days too.
just get a friend to craft some spell power glyphs for them (if you can purple).

Then just wait till you've got arcane. Really it works.

I said healthy willpower because most guilds have people (like me with a ton of that "crap") we consider junk and many of whom will even GIVE them to the OP (to help out)

HE can just buy them, they are all very very cheap...

Hence why I said just get the wrong trait for now. (temporary solution, not a permanent replacement)

Use it as buffer gear until you have the proper funding for the others.

It seems the consensus is that Willpower is worth having. I couldn't afford the Jewellery for a while, so this is what I did.

Depending on your weapons/gear, consider buying willpower weapons in whatever trait suits you, they are a lot cheaper AND they can be improved to gold quality (unlike jewellery). Obviously you'll still need at least one piece of willpower jewellery to get the three piece bonus, and you'll have to find something else to fill up your jewellery slots, but weapons are so much cheaper.
