Malubeth is too strong yes but the only thing that video shows is not having a CC is ***. And no DBoS doesn´t count as its not up every 5 sec.

You died for a few reasons.

1. Your some bad dot dk build, he is a templar, ritual > dots.
2. Only way to kill a templar is via burst, you have literally non apart from db.
3. You have no cc....
4. Your trying to use steel tornado as an execute.
5. Your build is terrible.
6. Malubeth procs on dots so all your low dmg dots basically give him proc's.
7. Your build is terrible, go and improve it.

And the Templar self heals using Bol with the beam. Makes it look like the beam is op but really the magicka Templar is specced through the roof with self healing.

Rapid strikes + dots = endless Malubeth procs.
I am always thankful when someone is using rapid strikes on me because it will assure a high uptime on malubeth.
To be fair though with OP, something is certainly wrong with Malubeth. The heals it provides are so random and spiking incredibly high it's not even funny anymore.

Meh, only "buff" they need is a buff to their cloak.

There shouldn't be 40 different counters to it with more and more added with each update.

I mean lets be honest here just in this patch they made it so camo hunter and its other morph/default version are now pretty much the stamina version of magelight and they added poisons that can lock a NB out of going cloak for 5 seconds if you use that type.

Also EVERY single target skill locks on through cloak, I've legit seen a zerg of 40 yellows all crit rush spam a sole Red NB who was trying his hardest to flee the zerg using cloak.

Every time they ripped him out of cloak, some even cheesed him with the crit rush into dragon leap shenanigans.

Nothing in the game is more heavily countered and due to its absurd amount of counters rendered useless in PvP than Cloak.

Skill and fairness rarely if ever plays a role in fights, it usually comes down to "Oh my build hits just as hard but has more regen than yours, I win."

No your bad build made him win. As many others already said you give him so many chances to proc Malubeth. Ofc you won´t get him down if you give him near 100% uptime on that set. Get CC and burst if you wanna kill a templar. Its not like you would have done much more against a templar without Malubeth.

Even if Malubeth was nerfed by battle spirit, even if it didn't increase their healing by 30%, even if they didn't have malubeth at all they still would have won because a dot build against a class that constantly purges them is useless.

Never steel tornado a single target. Flurry/Rapid Strikes is great dps in a dungeon now --I swap out for it as it does give me higher dps in situations where sustain is what I'm going for. In PvP you'll need something else.

I'm a NB, so I can't speak for DK skills. But you'll want to find something else to use outside of Flurry; I just don't find it practical in PvP. You can do some damage and gain a buff with Flying Dagger. This is a skill I do use, and it's quite surprising how many people will just stand there and take a Flying Dagger to the face, repeatedly. But that still isn't your big burst damage skill, and I wouldn't encourage anyone to just blindly use it without having other skills that are more effective in your rotation.

You'll want to look at class skills, or maybe 2H skills, for your burst damage. Get rid of steel tornado unless you'll use it as an AoE against a group. Maybe. I still don't t find it's as useful as it once was; I don't use it. If all else fails, and you need an execute, Executioner? I guess? Consider Rending Slashes/Twin Slashes with Flying Dagger from the DW skill line. But you'll really, really need to consider your class skills, and get something going there.

Sorry, again, but I just don't speak DK. I have a DK, but she's not been played since well before IC launched. I guess that would be my advice. Not considering build, this is just a mild skill rotation suggestion. I'm not even going to bother to give a DK build advice because I just don't know.

Whoever is still saying whether i won or lost is ***. I know what a dueling spec is, i also know what bull$h17 is, and that was bull$h17. Tell be why a armor set can be so much of a crutch that it can heal you for 15-20k and your telling me L2P. Just because your terrible without it doesnt make it any less or more fair.

Would you say Sypherpk is bad at this game? Watch his stream sometime. He melts mofos untill he runs into a Malbeth user he just loses interest and leaves.

Thx for the tips. That's a zerg surfer build i made up that melts people. I wouldn't run volitile or DW if i was set up to duel. 2h/ bow all the way.

What i was pointing out was stamped volitile armor into DBoS left him with 10% health and i went in for the kill and poof his health is at 75% before he even stands up. Now tell me, this set and others like it that react to damage, how does a mag dk, a stamplar, or any other class that cant just big bang attack you and drop you immediately cope? Just get owned? No chance? Fun stuff right there
