After noticing that my stamina Templar's damage output was less than expected based on calculations, I have taken the time to do some testing.
This morning I redistributed all Champion Points to zero, removed all gear, removed all skills other than Biting Jabs.
Unfortunately I don't have add ons on the console, so I had to go by what the combat text indicates.
Using a handy Mammoth as a punching bag, I began introducing points into Thaumaturge, with the following results:
0 pts - Biting Jabs Base Damage - 426. Critical Damage 681.
1 pt - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
2pts - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
5pts - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
10pts - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
15 pts - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
27 pts (10%) - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
48 pts (15%) - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
73 pts (20.1%) - Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
100 pts (25%)- Biting Jabs Base Damage 426. Critical Damage 681.
It is my understanding that this was an issue at some point on the PTS, but that it had been fixed on the PC/Mac platform. I just wanted to make sure the developers are aware of this apparent failure of Thaumaturge to increase Biting Jabs damage as a DoT ability.
For what it's worth, Mighty seems to be working just fine with Jabs.
