ZOS Policy on cheating

We just had another round of thread locks concerning the cheating issue in ESO. I won't discuss the locks themselves as that would be against the forum rules, but I will note that:

- We still don't have a coherent policy regarding cheating and cheaters;
- By all accounts cheating is still ongoing and alleged cheaters are coming back after temp-perma-bans;
- Morale is at an all-time low, for me and many others, considering the comments on the abovementioned threads.

Your role here is to manage the forums. You don't call the shots. I get that. But can I ask you @ZOS_JessicaFolsom and @ZOS_AlanG, please by any means available to you try to pass along the message that we need answers, not moderation. Thank you.

Too much misinformation and too much visibility = pr problem with zos. Basically what I got from Jessica's response was we take cheating seriously blah blah blah. Report cheaters bla bla blah. But here's what's interesting.

"In rare cases, we may decide to give a player who has been permanently banned a final chance after investigating a situation and speaking with them."

Bottom line they reserve the right to give second chances and it appears that's what they did, if what people are saying is true that they saw a known cheater logging in.

Hi guys, as detailed here, these threads are attracting a lot of problems. For the moment, we are locking these threads to give the topic a chance to cool down. We will be re-opening that thread, or posting a new one, in the future so discussion and resume. We will hopefully have more information to share at that time.
