I could give you a long list of witty reasons but I'll just say they need to L2P.

Its common sense healers sit back and heal while the tank pulls and tanks but almost every dungeon we get a random healer you wants to dps instead of heal or wants to pull and gets killed instantly... -_-

it just as fun when the DPS taunt the bosses away from you when your tanking and you constant get yelled at for being a "bad tank" as they die repeatedly from pulling taunt after tank taunts. Don't you just love PUGs. :3

It might be a case where the healer doesn't want to pull but a case where the tank fails to pull and the healer is always the first target until the tank or DPS does something about it. Mobs that have archers or other types with ranged attacks can really make a healers day interesting as they don't rush into the fray to be easily AOE'd down and instead stand back targeting the healer.

My battle does that, taunts the enemy after I taunt but that's just him trying to mess with me and in all fun and games, but I have had random dps do it to though and it is annoying but they are easier to replace lol

No every time I will see them deliberately pull the enemy without even looking to see if everyone is ready or anything just runs in throws a spear and dies...

Every time? You are just having some really bad luck with finding healers! I confess I have on occasion as a healer started the battle but I don't do it often and it has always been when I was with guild mates and we were in team speak. I think it is justified though and will give an example of when I do it.

We are half way through a pledge and someone in the guild asks if there is a crafter online. Our tank then responds I can craft after the dungeon what do you need then he stands there talking to the person wanting armor. That conversation can be had later after we finish the dungeon so I hit a light attack to get things going.

I would never do that with a pug group, or players I haven't run several dungeons with. Sometimes though ya just gotta do something to remind the others hey we got something going on here...

Yeah, most of the time though things work best when the healer stays out of the way and just heals, offering up shields and maybe some DPS when they have extra magicka, but mostly just healing.

And as an aside I would like to say DPS with ranged attacks need to quit standing behind the healer (I see that a lot) and only the tank is allowed to stand in red for longer than the time it takes to dodge roll.

We do have bad luck when it comes to healers, sometimes we find really good ones but its rare its gotten so bad we have all talked about just making a healer. The healers we do find that are great are usually just lvling up a alt -_-

I sometimes pull bosses as healer. Most recently was when the PUG tank decided to tank the boss in a very awkward location where everyone had to stand right next to the melee boss in order to do their roles. So after we wiped I pulled the boss to me with a heavy restoration attack. Tank was very upset with me, but the boss died in about 12 seconds, and nobody else did, so tank followed *my* lead from that point on.

Healer shouldn't pull anything unless they have a good chance of surviving it, though! I will pull mobs off the DPS sometimes (Inhale is the best), but I only grab the attention of melee bosses in very specific circumstances (i.e. If our guild's tank is down, and it's not a Trial, I get the DPS the space to rez him by distracting the boss, because he is built that he can can hold aggro *and* rez me if I don't dodge enough).
Why be normal when you can be better?

A real problem is when using the group finder someone will say they are a healer when really they are DPS just to get into a group faster. That happens often. Same with people pretending to be tanks.

Yes, such people should be reported. Maintaining the quality of the group finder depends on it. ;/

They leave because they can't blame the healer for dying.

Noob? Or at least Noob to group content?

I know when I was new I tried to throw out CC between heals. I thought it would help to keep adds occupied so my DPS guys could do their work. Good theory, wrong role. I learned quickly. I also learned I was suppose to carry crystals so I did not have to go to the wayshrine to res. So ya, I've been there. Not stupid or malicious, just squeeky new and uninformed.

The DPS guys in that party never did learn not the stand in the red though.

Sometimes I think the player (DPS) does not know they are using a taunt. I was in Banished cells and the DK Stam DPS kept taunting the bosses. I told him that he was taunting and it seemed he did not know what I was talking about. Could be just a simple problem of the player not be educated in the skills they are using. After talking to this guy I was able to get the player to stop taunting , but it did take about 20 min.

I sometimes fall into the trap and I believe that becasue I read a lot about dungeons/class strat and builds, PVP that everyone else does too and I really do not think this is the case. I make some assumptions and this gets me frustrated sometimes. I find that if you are polite when you speak to these players, you can get it corrected. Yelling at players that are not running the dungeon mechanic, or playing their class/role correctly normally just results in a worse run.

Now if the player is not using a MIC (XBOX ONE NA here) then there is nothing you can do because there is no other way to communicate to that player and help them. I go as far as I can with that group and then tell them that the group is not going well and no one is communicating and bow out. Leaving the group does not happen very often. I would say 1 in 20 times for me.

Well if this is the players you are finding then I cant see you helping them. If they are at least quick to leave, then you are not wasting your time with them for very long.

@Defilted True but it would be nice if they wouldn't do that and actually wait and try to do it right. I understand to do it once and try to be funny or with a group you know and stuff but just to be an ass is annoying...
