Epiphany before DB launch

Played on PC, then switched to console a year ago. In a few hours, after the patch is finished, my plan was to resub, primarily for the crafting bags (considering it sounds like the new DB content is a nightmare of lag at the moment).

I don't usually pay any attention to the QQ threads, but a recently closed thread got my attention. I watched the video and was surprised to see someone throwing down hundreds of Meteor ultimates on everyone. I know nothing about cheat engines and such, but I do have a pair of eyeballs. And it looked like a permanently bannable offense to me. I read on to find that these people were allowed back into the game. No message from ZoS on the contrary. They previously banned people exploiting the Assistants, but only for a few days since these are the people willing to spend serious crowns on convenience.

So the crowns and dolla dolla bills definitely seems to mean more to the company than producing a robust and fair game. And if I am honest with myself, the game really does have way more problems than any other game I play on console. Like by a country mile.

It's true, the only way to vote as a consumer is with your money. Therefore I will not be subbing and I will not spend another dollar on this game until development goes in a new direction (which I'm fairly positive won't happen unfortunately). Sad, because the game has great potential. I can always manage my inventory like I did before, or hop onto Cyrodiil to play a little, or run some little errands, or go fishing to waste time.

But at some point you have to decide if you are going to put your money where your mouth is, rather than just paying to watch a game go down this path.

This isn't a bye-bye thread; like I said, I'll keep playing on occasion. But it's also not a buy-buy thread; they no longer deserve my money.

ZoS, I get that there are a ton of chronic complainers on the forums, but I'm also noticing that many are intelligent, loyal, dedicated customers who have legitimate concerns about a product you have sold them. I understand that it is a digital product on a massive scale, which is understandably difficult to manage. But that's no excuse for ignoring your loyal customers when there is a serious problem.

Sincerely,

Falls-On-Deaf-Ears
