The article quotes Firor as saying they are avoiding big DLCs so content can be more episodic. One can hope the pricing would fit that model. Limited time mounts are always the most stupidly priced thing in the Crown Shop so hopefully that has no bearing on the new playable content. After the little escaped of a 4K mount, I fully expect the price point for the barber shop and more to the point the most wanted features of the barber shop to induce dizziness, sickness, irritable bowel syndrome, and toxic shock to ones credit card statement.
Good question. I know what they can be/are used for in other MMORPGs, but it's anybody's guess for ESO. Maybe growing (special) crops for alchemy and provisioning, a private stable for mount training, a rested XP bonus? If they come in different sizes maybe some can be set up as guild halls with crafting stations or other such items?UltimaJoe777 wrote: »I just wonder what all our houses will be good for, besides a practice dummy and trophy room.

Firor says that Zenimax is aiming to release multiple, smaller DLC packs to cater to players who return to the game intermittently, creating something akin to 'episodes' for the game:
"It’s interesting to see what happens when you take away the subscription model away," Firor explained. "You don’t see a hardcore playstyle - like playing for six months and then quitting - we don’t see that. We have a lot of players who will play for two or three weeks because they want to get through a zone and then stop. Then they come back two months later for another month, because there’s no pressure to play all of it at once.
"Our DLC packs cater to that, because they’re smaller, bite-size chunks of story and associated quests."

They're catering this sort of playstyle in an MMO? To me personally this is very disturbing and disappointing news. The most important thing for an MMO is to build up and maintain a long-term loyal community. And this attitude simply won't do it.
Very neat.UltimaJoe777 wrote: »A convenience for crafters like Rawl'kha but better would be neat.
Yeeeeeeesssssssssss....UltimaJoe777 wrote: »perhaps even the shrines there as well
Cool. Like it. Guest could pick from your garden. And for the stable thing they could add this (not just for homes but all stables).UltimaJoe777 wrote: »and of course nodes outside that respawn normally but are for you and maybe guests?
I'm there.UltimaJoe777 wrote: »Doubt the XP bonus though lol but guild halls are something I'd love to have that grant perks based on size and accomplishment perhaps. Something to make guilds more worthwhile than trading guilds and/or social groups.
Right now, I am upset that I renewed 6 months sub last month. This is a really big let down. The housing coming in 2017, when I believed they already confirmed it for 2016. The small DLCs really bother me, they wouldn't so much if there was mention that they were also working on bigger yearly expansions.
Really feel... blah... on this.

I don't think they ever said we could expect housing this year. Also it's early 2017 so not too far off.

Yeah they did in the 2016 year ahead. They also promised guild management features. But they are not even talking about that anymore. I'm honestly getting feed up with the *** frim this company. This game cod be the most amazing game ever, but they don't know what the heck they are doing and it's killing it.
Yeah, that's what I'm getting at, if it's too little at a time per purchase or just flat out too little content per quarter it will get really frustrating. If they make old/new group content more repeatable (graphics, new music, etc) that would also help. *fingers crossed*UltimaJoe777 wrote: »They plan to release little mini-DLCs that add up to what the usual DLCs we've been getting by the time next quarter comes around in order to keep people that just check in for new things around more often. It's like releasing the next DLCs in portions until ultimately we have all of the DLC by the next quarter. A valid approach in my opinion. However, these new features coming in bite-sized DLCs cannot all cost money to get or that will drive people away...

Sure they spoke OF it but I don't recall them actually saying it'd come this year, just that it was in the works.
Would make sense to put those in with housing and have housing include guild halls. Too bad about it being next year, though.ComboBreaker88 wrote: »UltimaJoe777 wrote: »Right now, I am upset that I renewed 6 months sub last month. This is a really big let down. Ugh... between this and the cheaters I think it's time to put this game on the shelf again.

Couldn't give a stuff about housing, give me content, dungeons , delves dungeons, special bosses that spawn rarely and need a good team of 12 or more to take down with the possibility of VMA equivalent weapons .
Vet versions of dire frost and vaults, spell crafting , 2 player VMA .
This will keep my interest not sitting in a house making it look pretty whilst growing stuff, can enter any house in game and sit there WE NEED PROPER CONTENT.
