What bothers me is alliance-based questlines. They need to be re-worked and overhauled to accomodate this change otherwise 70% of the story and core concept of the game will not make any sense. I firmly believe that all alliance "main" questlines should still be chained and played in the same order they are now, the only quests that should be freely available anywhere are the localized quest chains and fetch/kill quests that have no impact or relation to the main stories, as killing 10 mudcrabs in Auridon is no different than killing 9.5 mudcrabs in Stonefalls.

I am all for free Tamriel, but that doesn't mean the storyline has to follow that way aswell. For storyline to make sense, they have to be tied to zones where they make sense and done in that order. It also would work as a zone-guide, leading people into new zones and areas simply for the exploratory aspect of it.

This is what many people also believe should be done (including myself).
And it's not even that hard to implement, considering every zone already has an achievement tied to those quests.

Yep, if they do it that way, I have no problem with OT otherwise, since I don't have any faction loyalties anyway, and regards to hardcore roleplayers, well... Any race/Any alliance already destroyed that aspect of the game at launch..
    Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Dermont - v16 Pompous Altmer Sorcerer (With a very arrogant face!)
Egonieser - v16 Nord Stamina Dragonborn Wannabe
Endoly - v16 Tiny Redguard Sharpened MaceBlade
Egosalina - v16 Breton Cheesus Beam Specialist
Egowen - v16 Dunmer Whipping Expert (Riding crops eluded her)
(Yes, I had to grind all these to v16)
Akamanakh - lvl 22 Khajiit GankBlade (Inspired by Top Cat)
Targos Icewind - lvl 34 Imperial (Future) Jabplar
    (CP 830+)

I just can't see me hanging around with my enemies that i fought for two years now. I hope the hatred won't dominate the zone chats, since it was a 3 faction war for years and now we have to share the same nodes and stuff. It totally kills my immersion.. one could say i am a RP and my role is beeing a pact soldier.

But i hope it is just me

I agree with the issue with the Story lines. Once you can go anywhere, you are messing with how the story of your alliance should go. But I guess they had to make a decision and it was to cater to those who doesn't care about the story but to be able to play with others at any place.

Maybe they will just give a warning notice to say something like, "you are about to leave your alliance story quest, transporting to this place will mess it up, etc...."

You can't take a really brilliant Theme Park game and retrofit it into being a Sandbox game without the result being a big, ugly kludge.

There are far too few sidequests in ESO that don't relate to the MQ or to the Zone questline for just running around and doing whatever you want to make any sense. And as anyone who made it down to Riften before working their way counterclockwise through the Rift knows, it was always possible to do quests out of order, and it was always ugly and came off looking like very sloppy development.

We can talk all day about better breadcrumbing the questlines or having stronger prerequisites on stuff, but the fact of the matter is that by taking the linear, progressive storytelling out of ESO, One Tamriel takes the single thing in the entire game that ZOS did best and throws it out the window.

What One Tamriel means to me.. one of the few purchases I made in the crown store which is "Any Race, Any Alliance" will be completely useless to me as I do not care for this games PVP in any way shape or form. So that's now 1500 crowns thrown in the garbage. I also suspect hunting for Nirnhorn in Craglorn with 3 alliances all in the same zone competing for it will be a lot more irritating and frustrating.

Not to mention finally reaching Cadwell gold will now be absolutely meaningless.. are they just scrapping that whole thing now or what? Prior to this the reward for reaching it was mostly having access to all areas and quests, grinding areas, etc.. but now? It's certainly not for the pot hat, or that amulet you'll never equip..

I've already played a few days.
    Good:
Improved graphics is more better. Became more natural and vivid natural light in the territories of Covenant. Previously there were all with blue tint and very rough drawing of reality. Some locations have become much more natural and nicer, and I want to play, and not quickly leave after the completion of quests.
Indeed, there have been improvements in the game. Weapons became look naturally like in real life.

    I suggest:
    1. Remove the possibility in game to kill civilians
    2. Stop the duel within cities.
    2. More natural, leave horses in the stable, and walking around the city on foot. Locations is small.
    4. Stop using aesthetics of dead thing and death. This is vile and disgusting. In the game too many corpses, skeletons and other necro filth. It might be nice to moral uglies and miscreants only

for me it's only scary, since i'm no longer able to play anywhere like before "one tamriel", now i only can get more than 30FPS inside dungeons, so, all the open world that i was able to play between 40-80FPS now mostly runs at 10-30FPS, i'm only able to get 60-100FPS inside dungeons. most of the game was ruined for me.

instead on having NA and EU servers it would me much better to have a "tamriel unlimited" and a "one tamriel" server, so people could choose. i would never pick "one tamriel".

Now it is not possible to play safely. Dive into the plot of the game is spoiled because packs of skeletons are running In Game area. School boys think that what they are uglier, the more they spit at all, so they are stronger. I begin the quest, but then I see school punks in the dungeon - and it spoils the whole game.

This is a very bad idea!
    1. In the locations now - 3 times more players. It is not possible to do a quest - constantly intervening running around the location deer grinders, threshing experience.
    2. It disrupts the atmosphere of the game. It is not possible to see the representatives of a hostile Alliance in the location of one Alliance. We can only meet in battle, in Cyrodiil.

    [snip]

This "One Tamriel" completely destroys the meaning of the quest "Gold of Cadvel".
It implies the sequential passage of the quests of all 3 Alliances.
"One Tamriel" - breaks the fantasy and creates disgusting convulsive chaos.

    Hello everyone,

This post is to let you know that we've felt it necessary to put this thread down, as it seemed to have died some time ago. At this time we'd like to try and keep Draugr threads from roaming around front page, pushing down newer and more lively threads. Please feel free to create a newer thread on this subject if you are unable to find a more recent one on the topic.

    Thank you for understanding!
