Skip Scenes (e.g. harborage)

Hey there; I wanted to know if there is a reason as to why characters don't have an option to skip certain scenes within ESO?

In my opinion, I would love the option to skip certain scenes in the main story.

The first time through the game you should have to watch the whole thing.

After that, I would like to be able to speed up the Prophet, at the very least. All of his walking and explaining takes up a lot of time. I have 8 characters. I would like to buy more slots to make more. I don't want to have to go through the "how this happened/5 companions/visit my mind vestige" scene again....

All the needless rabble after watching the same scene over and over again with a new character.
Give me the option to skip it please.
Or give me the option to knock the Prophet on the head repeatedly to make him speed up.

Give me the option to just kill the Prophet when I meet him.

I like to skip that first Harborage quest where he just talks about the Five Companions... It's annoying going through that with every new character.

    Right.That History Lesson.
*rolls eyes nearly out of their sockets*
After the first two times,it has gotten to where I cringe every time the Prophet shows up now.I didnt before. It's just that one first quest that drives me bugnutz!
That walking up and down that looooong staircase. Why cant he just poof us to where we need to be,but noOooooo. We have to take that turtle slow walk all the way up and all the way down.
If I could remove just one quest this would be it.

Agreed 100% there should be a skip option just like the tutorial has.

You can just grab a snack while Varen rambles on.

It's the only fair way to receive the skill point. When Meridia lets you skip the walking tour of Hollow City, you don't get ***.
And then you take the walking tour because you think she'll reward you for putting the time in. And you still don't get ***.

    Crash your game.

I crashed during a certain quest and that is how I never got to listen to certain conversations or make certain choices with any of my chars, the game automatically did them for me and I progressed without actually doing anything :(

I always get a pal to do those quests for me, while I watch some movies.

I feel you! It is the bit I hate most when creating a new character.

Agree, the 5 companions story gets old after 20 odd character runs :'(

I agree there should be an option in the dialogue (Account based unlock - after a previous history lesson or after 1 character defeats Molag Bal (Would be worth getting done if only to skip the ramble let alone getting the black dye)) where you can identify him as ***** and let on you studied history, therefore saving you the teleportation lesson.

    omg YES!
I was so annoyed the very first time I ever played the main storyline, when The Prophet declared he was Varen and told me that he knew I must be angry/disappointed... I'd worked out for myself who he was several quests earlier, and was waiting for it to be confirmed. I was sitting there going "Why isn't there an option to TELL him that I knew who he was?".

By now, having done these quests six times, it's just keyboard mashing through everything that isn't Abnur Tharn being snarky or Sai Sahan talking about beards. I wish the Companions would talk faster!

Ugh, the Lecturage... The first time I did that quest I was very interested and paid attention. The second and maybe even third times I paid attention and caught some stuff that I missed the first time (part of how I figured out who the Prophet really was before it was revealed - I hadn't gotten to that stage on my first character yet by the time I was doing the Lecturage on other characters).

After that it became such an absolute chore to do that quest on other characters... Please give us a way to skip it if we've already done it on another character! I don't want the option to skip any quests where you have to actually fight anyone or do anything, but this "quest" is effectively just one giant unskippable cut scene.

That first bit in the harbourage only takes about 3 minutes, I just go make myself a cup of tea when I am playing any new characters through that.

With the big changes coming 'One Tamriel', I wonder if this has been considered?
