Many people complaining appear to be the ones it was aimed at.
    kick..kick...kick...kick...kick...kick
The tool is there for you to group up.
Not cherry pick who you get grouped with.
    You cherry pick....youre punished.

The fact the OP happened to get an arse makes no difference to the design intent of the timer.
Who may have had a genuine emergency or call of nature anyway.
    Vote to kick the leader.
You had no reason to leave the group.

Woah, QQ more why dont you? If you hate getting kicked so mich dont be a light armour petbuild sorc tank/hea;er spa, ming wrecking blow.

You seem to forget the group finder is for new players too.
And they also need to practice dungeons so they can.....git gud ..as such player like to put it.
How do these new players gain experience exactly ?

    Selfish player is selfish.
Anything that can be exploited will be exploited

I have no real problem with the penalty TBH.
I'll take a 15 minute break from dungeons if the people in the dungeon were morons that wouldn't listen while I explained mechanics. If you aren't patient enough to wait for someone to come back from being AFK, I can see the 15 minute wait being torturous but that's more a personal issue than a problem with the penalty.

You think 15 minutes is bad, try the 45 minute penalty FF14 has and THAN you can QQ to me.

I think the 15 minute penalty is a good thing. There were many players who used to take a glance at their group mates and leave immediately due to bias against particular classes and builds. I have seen players who see a tank with lesser than 25k health or a non-templar healer in the group and immediately leave. There were players who often left if they did not get the dungeon they were hoping for from the random dungeon. There were many players who used to keep queuing in the random dungeon finder till they got the one of their choice, usually a pledge.
But random means that you are not supposed to always get what you want. If you cherry picked group members, get them from a guild or guild. If you want a particular dungeon, use the Specific Dungeon from the group finder. You should not get the best of everything, like the massive XP bonus as well as the pledge completion every time you use it.
This is a good move IMO. When you queue for the random dungeon, you have the responsibility to at least try to see it through. If you leave because of your misplaced preferences, you are inconveniencing three more people who might have been queued up much longer than you.

And FYI a 15 minute cooldown is hardly anything and you can spend it doing several of the different other things in the game. In most other games with a match maker, the penalties of abandoning is much more severe. Like in CSGO, abandoning a group from match making often incurs a 7-day penalty.

This is a bad idea so you get punished for leaving a bad group

How do you judge which group is bad without spending even 15 minutes with it? Actually it is even lesser as it takes a few minutes before the group actually starts the dungeon.

If we have trouble at the first boss in a dungeon then I'll quit that usually take s 5 to 10 minutes then I can re-queue now I would have to wait 15 more minutes I don't normally use group finder but when I do I would like to not be hindered by this 15 minute timer its a horrible idea guess I won't being doing dungeons until my guild mates on.( there so fickle they don't always wanna do dailies or there PVPing so what am i suppose to do?)

This 15 minute timer thing is a bad idea that should be dropped.

I’m fine with a penalty but there needs to be some enhancements to the dungeon finder first. There isn’t any reason a tank or healer should be able to spam the DF for a specific dungeon and leave dps stuck waiting for hours in queues. They need to incentivize the DF for needed classes to speed up the queues. Also a legitimate system to separate people that aren’t geared or prepared for specific dungeons. In other games you’re given the opportunity to queue for several dungeon options which is a lot better than all or one. So many flaws to the current system one could go on for hours.
