Quest "Gentle Gardener". Error. Button "E" ( Collect Water in container) no work.

I am doing this quest now. I get 2 parts (from 3) of this quest , last part - Collect Water in container. When I am near water, I see a comand on display - "press E to take water in container". Then, I am pressing button E, .... and nothing! No work.
Who know, what is it?

I had the same issue.
My workaround was to open the inventory and select the quest items. There right click on the available "Container" and select USE while standing in the pond. Then it worked and changed to "Filled Container".

I've just encountered this, before abandoning the quest and trying again I thought I'd do a quick search which threw up this thread, I can confirm that using the container from within quest items works, thank you :-) Ps I'm on xbox so its not limited to pc
