Desperate Souls quest problem

When I try to do this quest I am not able to use the Firesap Gel on the short red shards in the mine I tried to cancel the quest and redo the quest and also exit the game and then enter the game again but it still does not work

Belhawk1✭✭i have the same problem. none of the souls in the mine are selectable. I started out with 64 bit client, then used repair & tried with the 32 bit client.0
