I haven't rolled a new character in a long time and thought I would try a DK again (and get it right this time). Only question: stamina or magicka? Advice please. Thanks everyone.

jkemmery✭✭✭✭I've tried both with my DK main, and I find stamina to be more rewarding to play, unless you want to be a pure tank with very little DPS capability, or a pure DPS. As a stam DK you can be a tanky dps, or a pure dps with a few minor adjustments to your bars and gear, but as a magica DK you are locked in to either tank, or dps without completely re-allocating your attribute, skill points and completely changing gear.
But it sucks that WB got the nerf hammer with DB.0 -

✭✭Suffering as Magicka Dunmer DK DPS not good as Magicka NB or sorcerer...
Healing is not good as other classes and some skills like Inferno are pretty waste...Destro works good...
Even they do not have Damage buff for low health enemies i.e. killer Blade, Impale, Radiant Destruction, Mage's Wrath....Edited by Lord_Eomer on June 2, 2016 8:03PM0 -

SolarCat02✭✭✭✭✭My main is a magicka Dragonknight Healer, and I absolutely love her.
Looking at the Dark Brotherhood changes, I am intending to create a stamina Dragonknight, too. I have not decided if she will be dps or tank yet, but definitely dps for leveling purposes.
They both have their advantages! What sort of playstyle appeals to you? Because ultimately, that's the only way to really pick.Why be normal when you can be better?

Just go with stamina and a race that works well for tanking... Eventually Zos will nerf DKs stamina DPS, but they will always be the best class for tanking.0 -
