Why won't NPCs look at me?

Since the patch, all NPCs I talk with won't look at me. The have their head turned to the left when I talk to them.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I have bad breath? I am a stamina DK so they could be smelling the new poison breath morph. Yeah, I bet that is what is happening.

    Hahahaha that's perfect, man xD
    Yes that should be it.

But really, report it as a bug. I had it a few times in the past, but not on this DLC (so far). I don't know what causes it.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Let's see....this one seems in far too much pain to look at me....

    Chief%20Bazrag_zpsdeianxma.png

Same with this one....though twisting his neck like that can't help matters....

    Bug%20Not%20Agony_zpso9t3gdxu.png

Whereas this Orc appears to be posing for a playbill....some upcoming production at The Old Vic...

    Shakespeare%20Perhaps_zpsrepvzdpz.png

This gal is simply multi-tasking....talking to me while calling a servant. Again, that has to hurt...her neck and the fact that it is so hard finding good help these days.

    Lady%20Soville_zpsbbtekvpc.png

When I received the quest from this woman, she did look at me. But when next I saw her, yet again, there was that can't-look-me-in-the-eye bug.....or it's simply Dunmer smugness....the smug is so thick among the dark elves at times you'd swear they'd choke to death on it.

    You%20Talking%20to%20Me_zpsumk9jyod.png

Seriously this is a bug that's been around forever, alas. Not only is it annoying, but it's such a glaring visual error it can take you out of the story to an irksome degree.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom I experience it quite frequently and have since DB. It doesn't seem to be limited to any specific location, but it doesn't affect all NPCs. Those that it does affect do this all the time. My thread:

This happens to me as well. If I close the conversation and reopen it, it usually fixes itself the second time.

This has been going on for a while. I'd say since DB.

The best way to fix it is to be really really close to them preferably right in front of them. Sometimes its so bad their heads are turned almost all the way off just so they don't have to look at me.

    I'm a man not a monster don't shun me!

This is misleading. I've tried getting right up in their face in front of them, and still opened the conversation to see them twisting their head away. Even when I approach from the side, the position of their head when opening the conversation might be completely the opposite and does not necessarily seem to be related to where my toon is standing in relation to their body.

Hmmm, I was planning on getting some screenshots tonight to make a similar post tomorrow.

It's very disconcerting. I've filed a /bug, but at the time, I thought it was just one NPC, then I realized it was an epidemic of bashfulness.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Here I have some pictures for you from intriguingly sadistic Elam Drals looking to the left and to the right when talking to me. Same for Count Aquilarios.

There is also the banker lady in Skywatch, Auridon who is almost pulling The Exorcist twisting her head to the back, ugh ...

I sent a bug report about this some time ago, though. Maybe the person who received it was looking sideways too ;)
