seems so on my end. i can gank a magicka based Sorc or DK with magicka poison effortlessly while if at the same time Stam/Mag NB's and Stam/Mag templars are able to not only shrug off the poison with purges or the ability to drag out a fight with natural high resource gains, can also utilize the same poisons to shut down any fight reactions from their enemy Sorcs or DK's...
makes me wonder if i should just shelf my Sorc entirely in PvP

You mean the only way to use Bow as a many source of damage in 1v1 situations. Bow is useful for DOTs and dodge roll into speed buff for positioning as a off bar, and DB does nothing to change that.

Bow has a place, and a valued one, it's just not applied in the way that you want it to be.8 -

How about snipe when you can hear it before it hits and roll dodge that slow projectile. It sucks that people get bow ganked but oh well you can directly fight someone with a bow in open comabt because it sucks.

I guess I should clarify, you can use a bow but if you want kill yo gotta gank with it, otherwise it's just a utility weapon for melee builds but we shouldn't derail the thread.
The fact that someone said bowtars got me triggered lol. I Hate ganking but If I even want to use a bow as a weapon a primary weapon not a back bar for poison injection dots it doesn't go well unless you gank.
Anyways poisons suck especially from a steath sniper 40m away.

Think about how spamming Purge would be very difficult when Magicka Skills cost 60% more. Poisons change a lot of how combat is to be approached in PVP Post DB. Bow, while it cannot totally stand alone, is a vehicle for Stamina builds to debuff at range. That's a makes doing things like gap closing or shield spamming much more resource instensive. Which means that fighting from range with a Bow will have more advantages now.0 -

So did i miss where without poisons but using the new beefier enchants ganking sorcs isnt possible so only with poisons in play is this a problem and so imbalance OP poisons?

Poisons are utter BS, people run around in groups of tank builds stacking major mending and major vitality, all using resource poisons and snares whilst building ult to drop in synchronous. Not that this isn't a valid strategy for smaller groups to take on larger ones but it also *** the little guys, getting run down by a group of 10 was a regular occurrence anyways but now they can catch you unless you are running a templar, or have one as a wingman, or are just lucky and don't randomly die long enough to duke them.

Most magicka builds use Healing Ward when they're low on health and this completely counters their defense.
I would say that Bow is one of the most useful weapons for stamina builds.

Actually I always liked the magnum shot/draining shot/scatter shot.
You can kick people off bridges and towers by using it.
The 1vx can definitely work if you're a bow user on top of a tower, kicking people of the edges
