You all reach Praxin Douare without a hitch, mowing down the nightmarish shades that spawn before the real fight begins, and off to a good start with his wraith form. When he hits the 30% mark, your healer unfortunately lags out momentarily and gets hit with the Circle of Bad Friendship, leaving the rest of you unvulnerable. Rather than risk trying to resurrect the healer and getting everyone killed in the process, you opt instead to blast out all your DPS in one final execution burst. Setting up an Inevitable Detonation, Curse, and Endless Fury, you proc your Clever Alchemist set to unleash the killing blow with a Soul Assault. You successfully press R and... see a pile of ash form at your feet.

Congratulations! You successfully obliterated a 9hp spider with a hitbox that was invisibly within your field of view.

These miscellaneous animals have caused me many moments of grief with missed ultimates, wasted casts, and just plain getting in the way of more important fights.

Believe me I've done it loads of times too ... love it when my jesus beam execute finds the rat that went unnoticed in front of that brown stack of crates ... then you hear the mob say, "Taking Aim!".

I thought something bad is gna happen as I read further and got to the you killed a 9hp spider I was yelled at my screen "I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!" Lol

Gotta feel bad for the spiders that get hit with an ult like *** that spider/rat/monkey that was in my way....

You don't collect books for the Mages Guild to learn stuff.

You collect them for better posture so you're not hunched over and aiming at the ground.

Note to self: Stack of books should totally be a hat option.

Also completely hilarious when you critical charge right past the boss to sink your sword deep into the rat that was sitting in the brush ...

I've learned this the hard way. I was in Coldharbour, on the third or maybe fourth go of a solo boss fight, and was down to the last hair of life and I did what you did ... and that tiny glowing spider was the last thing I saw before the Death Recap screen appeared.

I walked away, remapped my target button to the [T] button my keyboard. Now I cycle through [T] until I get the target I want and fire only when I see the white target indicator. Hasn't happened since.

Happens to my NB when I use Teleport Strike (and its morph's) often in dungeons.

those rats or small critters are works like "Guard" skill in AwA support line even when aim for boss or something else they take the hit

Good to see i'm not the only one who has done this... at least I haven't done it in such dire circumstances.

HOWEVER
up until a couple days ago, I can't tell you how many ground-targetted ults I accidentally would fire when trying to loot stuff and missing the box/crate/barrel/whatever (E->R)

I say up until a couple days ago because that's when I noticed auto-loot

24k assassins will bow shot vs... a heron that I SWEAR jumped in front of the monstrous bad giy to save it, or delay the inevitable.
