MuleDisguises feels safe, but Mulestuff3 looks at me nervously from the login screen. Ah heck, maybe I'll turn him into a pure crafter and free up those skill points on my sorc who maxed them all.

You should and Im sure he'll enjoy it.. I know I wont soon forget the look on the faces of my mules as I went to them, one by one, and relieved them of their burdens, which had for almost all of their lives kept them shackled to just a small area within a bank.
As they stepped outside their former prison, eyes adjusting to sunlight they had not seen in so long, they scanned the vast and seemingly endless world of Tamriel.
There was a little bit of nervousness at first, but it was soon replaced by excited exuberance as they realized they would not be deleted, and a whole new life of adventure awaited them.
Yes, yesterday was a great day for us, relieving our inventory struggles and gazing with joy at our now empty bags and bank account. I am loving it as well, but in our celebration let us not forget about the many mules who long served us loyally and without complaint.
For them, its not just about an empty bag, but a day of liberation and rebirth.. :)

The crafting bags are just awesome. I went from 240/240 inventory to 12/240 inventory!!!

Now I can save and collect things I actually want. Not hoard. No, not hoard. Collect. There's a difference.

1 question can you craft from the crafting bags or do you need to take them out to craft a item

Works just like the bank, in that you can craft directly from it and it's universal to all characters on the account.

But better than the bank, because you can access it anytime directly from your inventory, and there's no limit on item stack sizes or number of stacks.

My only problem now is that I don't know what I'm going to do with my 3 crafting mat mules...

Thank you for answering iv still 2 weeks till dlc (console) but cant wait

Yes, and hireling goods go directly into the bag as well, once you retrieve them. same with all you buy from guild stores. It's pretty awesome, no annoyance with these bags.

This change is probably the favorite change I've experienced of any MMO ever. To give you an idea I've always maxed out every inventory expansion in every MMO I was serious about, and I was NEVER happy. Inventory management is a nightmare, and wastes so much time thereby detracting from the real reason I want to login. I don't mind a little organization, but when it comes down to the painstaking time taken to break down, sell, mail, toss, etc frankly it begins to feel a lot like the office work I'm accustomed to and that's not why I login. This change will also go a long way toward making the game feel more like previous TES games and less like most of the MMO's out there. I don't mind some storage restrictions, but I really disliked being unable to build new equipment because it put such a pressure on my crafting. Now the crafting materials aren't making that kind of pressure and it is a huge relief.

I posted this elsewhere, but this may be the more appropriate thread to get an answer.

About the bags (Thank you ZOS, btw)...

As an ESO+ member who wont be getting the bag until the 14th! :disappointed: (xb1, na), my understanding is that upon initial log-in all crafting items across all chars will be dumped over into the bag.

My question for those that already have the crafting bag...

As I'm out and about collecting, finding and farming additional mats, will they automatically go into the stacks in the crafting bag or will I occasionally have to stop and dump them into the bag manually?

It seemed a dumb question to ask initially (as it would seem obvious that they'd just go directly into the bag), but when you see how they are handling the issue of people that drop eso+ (withdrawl only, no further deposits), it made me unsure that things would automatically be deposited, post initial log-in, since that feature would need to be disabled if you unsubbed.

Thanks in advance for any insight on this!

Can't wait for this update! SOOOO much good stuff!!!

Its all automatic. .Done for you.Even what was in y our bank goes into it.Not just what you pick up along the way.

I've only just done my first round of writs / farming since the patch, but the crafting bag is just as awesome as I had hoped. No hassle, no shuffling things back and forth between characters, just go out and get the job done.

    Excellent ESO+ perk, thanks ZOS!

not sure if it's been said, but two other areas that have been given slight quality of life improvements due to the crafting bags are:

    - crafting writs are ever slightly easier since for at least the alchemy/enchanting writs i would have to pull out the requested mat that was required. NOT for the actual crafting, just for the quest turn in it requested some raw materials as well.

    - picking up hireling mail. log in when i have a bunch, then e / x / e / x.....over and over. And sometimes part way through I would have stop, dump mats in bank, and continue opening mail. Then I would put the remaining items back into the bank.

Now, just e and x repeatedly and no other steps. :)

Such a small thing, but such nice little added effect.

Edit: just scrolled up and noticed someone else mentioned the writs as well. oh well, still just overjoyed with this and the convenience. i hate inventory management in the worst possible way.

Wanted to add my thanks for the crafting bags too. The difference it makes to game quality of life is immense. I can get on with the business of actually playing the game, rather than spending too much time on inventory management. Thank you!!

However, it makes *such* a huge difference that making it unavailable to non-ESO+ members is just plain mean. Fair enough, charge loads of money for it in the Crown Store but at least let all players have a way of getting it.

I don't normally feel strongly about this kind of thing but the bag makes the game so much nicer to play, I think everyone should have a method of using the feature.

Yep, this will keep me subbing indefinitely. I'm pretty sure this was their plan all along to keep subs and attract new ones. I have subbed since the start of the game, and was considering buying a ton of crowns during the next crown sale and cancelling the sub, but the bag will keep me.

I love the Crafting Bags. Now I can craft on just one character, where before I had materials spread across the bank and 3 other mules. My Bank went from 219 spaces used to 24, my main inventory mules also regained at least 100 bag spaces each. Now I can store dropped and crafted set items logically on two of my mules, and use the bank for things like Treasure Maps and storing recipes and motifs so all my characters can access without the mule shuffle.

This has also made dealing with Hireling mails much easier, as before only certain characters could store certain things. Now I can just do a quick log through all my characters, and have one collect the items.

I also like not having to go to the bank to do a crafting writ, nor storing some crafting items on non crafters to service the writs.

All in all, QoL is vastly improved with this small change.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Its going to be interesting finding things to fill my inventory and bank with that arent crafting related. Theres currently maybe less than 10 items (stacks of course) in my bank that arent crafting related of the 158 items there. I cant wait for this to hit console.
