Rather dull sounding DLC really

The crafting bag alone is the feature that made this expansion amazing to me. Anything else is just a bonus. I'm the type that loots every single crate, barrel or whatever and whenever I can. Always played this way, can't help it hehe

Grown ups? Majority of naysayers here, on these forums, don't sound as grown ups. More like elementary school brats thrashing their game toy because it didn't meet their expectation. They actually don't know what they want, but hey, it's cool to hate, slash and moan.

Still cant see a reason to buy it or re-sub personally.

Honestly all I see when new things are added to this game are more things to go wrong. They seem to quite able to add to new content but near incompetent at making it all work properly.

How many weeks on PTS? and they found something obviously critical on release.. how does that work..

I'd love to see you do better. Otherwise its best to not go and judge a professional's competence.

Hilarious. I judge professionals competence everyday. Particularly those I give my money too.

I found the new landscape to be beautiful. I've enjoyed exploring it so far. Best moment so far..."OMG! Did that River Troll just throw a crab at me!?!?" That was so funny!

It doesn't sound dull to me.

[Edit] Though I agree that there should be more DLC that involves groups of players as well, whether that be in PvE or PvP.

All I see is people saying they are going to come back. I would like to say honestly that's fine. The population on ps4 is great and everything is well executed. I know it's not a perfect game but what game is?

With the last 2 DLCs you, OP, have to see, that these are 2 of the iconic guilds in the Elder Scrolls series. It is simply not really TES, if these guilds would be missing. So they had to be in the game and a lot of TES fans are attached to these guilds and it's specific gameplay. This might be boring for you, but it isn't for them and as well not for me. I highly appreciate both guilds.

Not for all of my characters though, but some are members of these guilds and I like to do these activities, regardless if this earns me decent coin or not. It is just the fun of doing it and the role play going with it - and this in an extremely gorgeous environment - Abah's landing is stunning and so is Anvil and Kvatch - I like the landscape of Hew's Bane and the gold coast as well. So to me, and I guess to a lot of others as well, these are really good DLCs.

But not only this, the base game patch has some interesting new features as well - poison making for example, I appreciate a lot, that ZOS has added this to the game and I will have great fun to figure out what poisons are available and how to get the ingredients for it. I will not google search for what can be done, but figure it out by myself - this is part of the fun to me. I heard there are about thousand different poisons possible, and this should not excite me?-

Then the crafting bag feature for ESO+ - oh my, this is a great perk for ESO+ and I really suggest to subscribe and get it, if you are into crafting at all. It makes it so much more fun and easy to use. You will spend a lot less time in banks (well, if you are not a thief that is). Then for us low level players the changes in regards to skill point gain are really awesome - I could add a bunch of skills to my characters and attribute points as well - which opened up the game for me - I enjoy it so much more.

Of course there are some changes as well which suck for many - like the impenetrable trait is now pretty weak compared to before the patch. So it has an effect on pvp - if to the better or not, we will have to see. But there are ss well a lot of positive changes to traits, which I really appreciate. Overall I am pretty happy with those changes.

Ok, there are bugs and flaws with the DLCs as well, but this happens in pretty much any game with a new DLC - sometimes more annoying, sometimes less - but in principle unavoidable, even with a PTS in place. Simply, because the live servers are a lot more complex than a test environment, a lot more units are involved and the actual production load is totally different to the moderate load in a test environment. So there will be problems and we have to have some patience with any new DLC.

On the bright sight, I see that ZOS is improving their way to handle these things - and that is much appreciated. And this really gives me hope, that ESO will have a bright future. Well, it already is a good game, no doubt about it, even the 64-bit client was at start a real mess and is still not ironed out - but it got better and I am using it since quite a while now. There are still annoying sound issues sometimes and crashes which might be related to this - I crash basically when sound gets really weird, so I think this is mainly an indexing or reference issue - and with the new DLC and added new music themes, the music sometimes stop to play or cuts out for some minutes, before the sound track starts again - but it will be fixed over time.

So you see, not all have issues with the latest DLCs, at least not in a way, which would disrupt the fun to play the game - there are more positive things with it than negative things. As ESO currently is, I can raise it by 2.5 points to my previous verdict, what brings it to 3.5 out of 5 - which is actually pretty good, but it says as well, it still needs some work for a good score.

Crafting bags aren't a part of the Dark Brotherhood DLC.

The dlcs are really bad honestly.

It is mainly role play content, which is to be expected from a TES game, which is meant to be an online RPG, more that than the typical MMO. If you expect something different, you might be in the wrong game and maybe look for something else, which fits your needs better. I do not say, go away, I just want to point that out, so that you can make a better decision, if you are not happy with the game development.

Its quite obvious that ZoS doesn't do enough testing on these DLCs. Nearly everyone that has been released since the game went "B2P" has been riddled with game breaking glitches and/or exploits. Not to mention the balancing issues are ridiculous. If any ZoS employee actually played the game they would realize a lot of these issues within hours.

What is really upsetting is that players test the game on PTS and give plenty of good feedback. Most of which is thrown aside and never even acknowledged by ZoS. Sad really.

Comments claiming that none of the ZOS employees play ESO are just silly. And how much is "enough testing"? If you want zero bugs, this game will become incredibly expensive.

Regarding balance, that will never happen. No matter how the skills are changed, people will complain a ton about balance. There will always be a context where a particular build seems OP.

And B2P has nothing to do with "game-breaking glitches". Remember the caltrops exploit in Cyrodiil back in the day? Item duping in the bank? The main difference right now is that we get new content every quarter. That will result in more bugs. When ZOS was focused on console releases, we had less content drops and less ways to introduce bugs.

Keep in mind that the crafting bag is not part of the expansion. It is part of the base game patch. If people buy the expansion, the don't get the bags, so the bags add zero value to DB.

That being said, I like both.
