New exploit: Infinite ultimates?

I haven't seen much in the way of hacking since the server-side code was put in. Sure you still get your macro bots, but those are few and usually banned fairly quickly after reporting with video/screenshots.

This particular exploit is a new one. I just watched a bot (predictable mechanical repeating circuit and attacks) using the Sorc ultimate over and over and over with literally zero time between casts. They would run through a bunch of mobs on a set path to get aggro, then spam the Storm Atronach.

At one point I counted six of them up at once.



Is this a known issue? If not is it specific to the Sorc ultimate? I habe found several YouTube videos of people using this and talking about how "amazing" it is.

Definitely needs looked at.

Something is definitely wonky here. It might be possible to legitimately get 2 atronachs out at once with an ultimate-gen build, but 6? Not a chance.

its not only atro, i've seen sorcs running with 2 familiars/clanfears too.

Likewise, but I've only seen that particular glitch/exploit in Cyrodiil. And from what the person doing it was telling me, was that it's actually lag causing the double summons. Not the player themselves.

They "fixed" this around 5 patches ago, by making it more humanly impossible to achieve.
Still can be done, tho', specially if you got a bot doing teh button mashing for you.

I've seen farmers do it all the time, they circle an area dropping multitudes of Atronachs killing skeevers... Fast leather scraps I guess for Dreugh Wax. Last month I tried to report one person when I first saw it, but couldn't spell his name as it was all alt-code letters and symbols. The report player function is stupid in ESO as you have to type in the character name manually, right clicking and report player doesn't auto-fill the line.

CE 6.4 at work. This is not cool. I want to dig more but am not even supposed to be at computer. Got a slight concussion doing SAR training. I will work slow and document on you tube unlinked what i find.

this can be done by just "getting lucky". still kinda obvious instance of an exploit if it happens often. but this CAN happen by accident (unlike opening a 3rd party program to spam ult / dominate leaderbord / etc) and if it happens to you once, you probably know how to exploit the bug right away

really hope that start banning - not only the obvious instances but all lua injection. i'd strongly prefer all add-ons disabled until fixed over letting this go on. maybe only accept singed lua code and force add-ons to be approved (much like app stores do). just take workforce off "immersion" and "anti-naming and shaming"...

Would be awesome to have the abilities, if done or obtained legitimately, especially for the trials and big boss fights, but yeah, not so fair for PvP with those playing by the rules. Also, yes, it is quite a turn-off from PvP in Cyrodiil, when cheaters/exploiters keep showing up.

So what? It's still an exploit (of a client-side vulnerability to tampering) and even if you're being a purist and don't consider it an exploit, it's still a cheat. Why the hell does it matter that it requires a 3rd party program? Should it not be fixed then? Should the cheaters not be banned?

It's way more severe than exploiting a broken mechanic in game. It's like using old school cheat codes on console games to never die and beat all the hard accomplishments while others try to do it legit. They need to find a way to detect this program and ban anyone who has used it. Any excuse about having used it is a lie you don't accidentally download and cheat

@phaneub17_ESO if you are on PC, I highly recommend the add-on "Target Whisper" - it's hugely convenient and solves the problem of impossible to type names. I use it primarily to send a little "<3" to all the try-harding would-be gankers in IC. :P
