Beware: when resetting your skills you may reset some of them back to 0 !!!

I had this too, I shrugged, and started allover.

I do not get the issue: my skill went from something like 60 to 0, but I saw ABSOLUTELY no difference in said skill use (Destru Staff) on my mage, that I killed off.

This incident was what made me question this "skill line" since it does nothing at all?

Most skill lines cap at 50. Those that don't cap much lower (10 for werewolves, vampires, fighers and mages guilds, 12 for thieves' guild, 7 for soul magic, ect.)

That said, unlike in normal Elder Scrolls games, weapon damage and armor values do not scale with the corresponding skills. They allow access to passives which can alter how the weapon or armor functions, and can give access to active abilities which make the weapons or armor more useful, but advancing your skills only unlocks additional abilities.

Your weapons scale off your max stamina, and your spells (and staves) scale off your max magicka. That's it. (Ignoring passives) Armor does not scale at all. The stat you see when it's equipped is always going to be its stat. (The exception is if you upgrade it to a higher rarity, using upgrade materials at a crafting station.)

Myeah, just saw, typo... it was meant 30...
    My bad.
Earthdawn Game Master Role Play Quotes by me:
"If it looks like a bear, if it feels like a bear, smells and tastes like a bear, then be VERY aware, it could be something ENTIRELY different..."
"Be careful what you wish for, you might get plenty of it..."

Yeah, and the b16_ESO tag on your ID should have cued me in that you had a vague idea of how the game works...

I guess this is what I get for spending so much time coaching newbies in zone. >.<

Sorry to hear, but thanks for the post. Hasn't happen to me, but good to be aware. Wonder if it's a bad glitch or bug?!

    Hi GreenHalox,

I'm still waiting to know if it was a bad glitch due to some server communications issue
or if it is a software issue. Some people in this thread have also reported the problem so at
least my case is not unique.

    Thanks for the comments,
