Id have to agree ive tried logging in can't and ive restarted the "Client" as instructed but it still says i cant and still says under Announcements "Could not retrieve announcements"

I guess I'll have to put a support ticket in *Sighs* , clearly some are able to log in and some aren't & Ive tried restarting launcher & Client & each time i get to log in screen it keeps saying log in error & on the bottom it still says cannot find announcements so its clearly not connecting to the host.

It's in the same location. %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

I have restarted the loader, in fact rebooted my entire PC, but i still cannot log in - I get an error 201. ..and I especially booked some time off to play now since I'm in a race against time to make VR16 before DB... the clock is ticking and so are the usefulness of my exp scrolls...

I'd have to agree to this a lot of people still can not log on then it seems.

FWIW mine cannot retrieve announcements either.
My friend in Toronto and I tried an experiment: (he couldn't log in earlier either): we exchanged log in details, and he can, from his PC, log in now on both his own AND on my account: I cannot, from my PC, log in to either my own or his account.

So the problem seems to be IP address connected?

could be then, I mean if your not getting announcements like me then its basically not connecting to Host IP i believe.

For those who still can't log in -- some times DNS updates/propagation can take time. Try rebooting your routers, or switching your DNS servers to Google: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

You could also try running a ipconfig /flushdns on your machine.

Open a command prompt and issue: "ipconfig /flushdns", then try logging in again.

Alternatively, if you STILL cannot log in, the solution I originally offered WILL work for you.

Just add an entry in your hosts file for live-services.elderscrollsonline.com.
