Loading Screen Taking Forever/Automatic Log Out Due To Inactivity

Good morning.

I purchased ESO Monday and I installed the game as well as the latest update by Tuesday night. I tried to play the game, yet after the Introduction plays I am led to a loading screens which takes forever and all I hear is music playing. Then after about 10-15 minutes I get an error message stating that I was logged out due to inactivity. I really need help with this since it's continuously do the same thing since the last three days.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? Do I need to plug my cable into my laptop instead of using WiFi? I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, all of my drivers are up to date and I also have the latest Direct X as well. Any ideas?

This could be a few things so I'm just going to make a list (of the causes I'm aware of) here for you (and anyone else facing a similar problem) with it's fix.

    Try plugging in the Ethernet.
Going wireless will ALWAYS deliver a sub-par experience on online titles, and that experience will keep getting worse the more advanced games get. For a western MMO ESO is one of the most advanced right now.

Make sure you don't have anything running that could be interfering with DirectX
Their are various amounts of bots, malware, game overlays, and recording software that can interfere with this. Make sure you don't have anything running on your machine that you don't need, your Process Manager should come in real handy for that. To access Process Manager and check on running programs do the following:
    1) Press Ctrl, Alt, Delete at once.
    2) Click Task Manager
    3) More details (windows 8, and 10)
    4) Click Processes
    5) Check the list to see if anything is running that shouldn't be
Note: Don't worry you're not going to break your computer, if something bad happens reset it and you'll be fine.
For cleaning and malware removal I suggest picking up CCleaner (the free version will do fine), and Adwcleaner (free, portable, and lightweight).

Do you meet the system requirements?
To put it simply if you don't meet the requirements you won't be able to play the game. You can check them HERE or their are tools that should help detect how the game should run for you too such as THIS.

Make sure you've got all the correct drivers and software dependencies.
Make sure you have the up-do-date .NET Framework and Visual C++, DirectX, and drivers for your Operating System. I'd link the drivers but I don't know you laptop and/or hardware on the laptop. Just Google the make and model of your laptop followed by drivers, the same should work with graphics cards and motherboards.

Are you running a Windows PC?
Yeah I know it's a pain, even though ESO is Mac and Windows compatible their is no version for Linux. As an added downside this game really isn't compatible on Linux either as you'd get the exact problem you posted no matter how you try and emulate Windows.

    UPDATE:
I nearly forgot one last issue that could cause this:

It could be the intro video itself.
If your're having issues immediately after the intro than that could be it, try disabling it. To do this do the following:
    1) Click Start/Windows
    2) Click Documents/My Documents/File Explorer
    3) Click Documents (if click File Explorer)
    4) Click Elder Scrolls Online
    5) Click live/liveeu
    6) Open UserSettings wtih Notepad
    7) Click Edit
    8) Click Find
    9) In the "Find what" box type the following "SET SkipPregameVideos"
    10) Click "Find Next
    11) Click "Cancel"
    12) On the highlighted line where it says "0" change the 0 to 1
    13) Save and overwrite the old file

It could also be caused by your user settings and/or mods
In this case ONLY if the above answer doesn't work delete the entire liveeu/live directory from your computer. Then enter the games launcher and attempt to play the game again
