The forums just went from "safe at work" to "NOT safe at work".

If you use a browser that supports add-ons or something that lets you modify the CSS of a site you can revert to a plain background easily enough with one change.

}

Of course, I'm not suggesting you do this at work, just if you prefer a plain forum style....;)

Looks good overall! There's a small gap on the right side of posts that looks like it should be filled in:



This is on Chrome 50.0.2661.102m on Windows 10-64bit. I can fix it to fill the space on the right by expanding the post content with the following CSS change:

.dis-col-body {
    /* width: 640px; */
    max-width: 800px;
    width: 100%;
}

We're working on fixing that now, actually

When you click a "Z" icon to be taken to a ZOS comment the top menu bar partially hides the comment:



The same thing happens when you click on a post and are taken to the first new comment (it is partially hidden by the top menu bar).

PS: I can fix it for you but I'm gonna need a few Crowns for it...wink-wink, nudge-nudge....

Yeah the opaque black bars don't look good at all. I don't like it above/below the forum thread or being where the name/notifications are. Something a little less jarring would be good.

the black lines are what make it seem so dark! why aren't they see through like the top of the page where the dev tracker n such?
i have 3 fat black lines, 2 at the top and one right where i am typing this comment from, makes the page look uber dark

Unsure if it is related to the new forum design but I'm getting a file missing error when loading a post. The file in question is a font file:

Strange. I have the thieves guild background back now and some CSS elements have changed colour but I don't have the new bar at the top.

Done a hard refresh and a cache clear for what it's worth.

Also, there is a large space between the sidebar and the wall comments when viewing anyone's profile.

Also, my fingers are not trained for this dev tracker and recent buttons. That might be a me problem though. Haha

When I click on a topic, either via Dev Tracker or Recent or whatever, it positions latest unread comment at top of screen. Which is how it has always worked and is great. But a second after that, the new navigation bar appears and covers it up. Of course, I can scroll up to get it out from under the new navigation bar, but it is an annoyance.

I definitely like the consistency with elderscrollsonline.com although @ZOS_GinaBruno you just want to distract me from my crazy ADHD. I keep reading through posts and my eyes keep getting caught on the side bars..... "OOOHH SHINNY". I think I might need something more boring on the sides. Good improvement though.

Out of curiosity, are there any plans to improve the functionality of the mobile version? The two primary reasons I use the desktop view on my phone are because I cannot view signatures on the mobile version, and there are no big Z icons next to thread titles which indicate devs have commented on that thread.

Posting pictures from either version using my phone is also really difficult, but that may be because I have a.../clears throat... Windows phone...

Just hit Mobil . It's hard to read the Elder Scrolls title . Black on dark gold is a bad idea for title visibility . Shade bars at the bottom look strange . This is on IPad Pro .

You may have to to a forced page reload to get the CSS to update. If that doesn't work let them know what browser/OS you're using...CSS is the typical case of spending 10% of your effort getting it to work on 90% of the cases, and 90% of the effort on the remaining 10%.

So far, not noticing anything odd or annoying, nor anything terribly different other than a background change. It still is a million times better than Bethesda.net's new forums...*shudder*
