role playing on the ps4

I have just just started playing this game, and I noticed that it is strictly voice chat with some emotes. Every mmo I have ever played, I have always role played for I found it to be great fun. I wanted to ask for those that role play on here and play on the ps4, how does it work? Is it mostly forum role play? I am curious as to how it occurs.

(Also if any ps4 role playing guilds are taking in members, I would like to join.)

Roleplaying via mic is sort-of-like roleplaying at a tabletop session: as responses are immediate and you get to hear the subtleties of the speaking voice as opposed to having to dissect each written line.
It is jarring for MMORPG roleplayers? Perhaps, but then again comparing it to a tabletop session should give you an idea of how to percieve it and it shouldn't be difficult for the RPing enthusiast.
