PTS change to Mind-Shriven, please change it back or offer refund

The PTS to Mind-Shriven skin on the current Dark Brotherhood PTS is very unwelcomed. Myself and many others have already reported this in PTS 2.4.0, however since we're now further in, and there has been no mention of this, I will make a post.

Vampire-Mindshriven-Showcase_zpsojc7j3lk.jpg

As you can see from the image here above, the Mind-Shriven skin has a rather unique effect when combined with the current vampirism of TESO. It looks cool and amazing, as it makes the player look like a crazed bloodstarved bloodfiend that has some serious hunger issues. Many players, including myself, brought the Mind-Shriven skin for this sole reason, as the middle image is how it was showcased under the sale with the release of the Imperial City DLC.

However, in the PTS for the Dark Brotherhood this has now changed, so that the Mind-Shriven skin completely overrides Vampirism, and thus looses its cool combo effect. I myself, as well as others are very displeased with this change, as this is not what we bought.

I will ask you, Zenimax, to either change this skin back to its original appearance when combined with Vampirism, as this is how it was sold and advertised to us, the players. We used our real-life money on this skin, not mere ingame gold. Please either change it back to what it currently is on live, or outright offer a refund to everyone who previously brought this skin.

I like that it completely overrides the vampire skin. I paid for that skin and even if my character is a vampire, it should still show properly on him. Thanks for fixing this issue ZOS.

That is not how it was advertised on vampire characters however, thus making it false advertisement, and making us buy a product under false pretense for something else. An option for it would be even better, though.

It's not false advertisement, since the product DID perform as they said.
if they changed that later... well shucks.

Thats the point, it have changed. Look at the comparison screenshot above. The middle image is how it has been ever since it was first released, the right image is how it now looks on the PTS.

This is only in case of vampirism, btw.

Isn't it lorebreaking to be both a Vampire and Mind-shriven anyways?

There isn't any lore about that from what little we know of the Mind-Shriven.

I must have missed this skin? Cause that's very cool looking.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

It doesn't change the matter of fact that it was sold under false pretense to all those with vampire characters. The middle image is exactly how we previewed it in the crown store. Changing it now, has been a waste of real-life money to all those like myself who brought it for this unique look.

Ok. That is understandable, but what about those that did not preview the skin with a vampire character and were disappointed that the skin appeared to be broken and not appearing properly when their characters became vampires?

Thus an option function would be prefered to cater to both costumers? The point at hand is that many people brought that skin with the intention of making their vampire look like the middle picture, only for them now to change it and ruin it for many.

We should have it as it was sold to us, especially since we paid for it with real money.

    I like my simple Vampire.
No elaborate sheisse to improve whatever deemed nice, just this simple, to the point vampire look.
I could not care less for the 2 latter.
They seem too silly, like a failed manga caricature.

But with that logic, you could say the same thing about the entire game. The game constantly changes with updates and fixes, and I still paid for it with real money.

Anyway, this change seems like an intended fix to me, seeing as the purpose of a Skin is to change the physicality of your character, and it make sense to overwrite things like vampirism. Although I do believe that this should've been checked before put on the Crown Store, I guess that was just a developer oversight.

I prefer the look in the middle. I didn't buy the skin for the look but thought it was cool when I tried it out on my vamp dk.

Always thought of it as a vamp who overcame the mind shriven, or whatever. Hope they change it back.

It doesn't show on my Werewolf form, so why should you blood sucking vamps get it on your vamp form?

Honestly I agree with you though, it looks cooler, but it appears to be a bug fix.

It just goes to show that few of us really miss this. Including myself.

I honestly still feel a bit ashamed by the practice. Myself, as well as many others bought it solely because of the super cool effect it had on vampire characters, and yet.. then they chose to revert the skins combining together. Thus we purchased an item under false pretense.

Its like going to the store to buy a really nice bag of sujamma berries. On the drive hope you happily nibble from those delicious berries, and then all of a sudden, when you've arrived home and stepped through the front door, the cashier just runs up, grabs my bag of delicious tasty sujamma berries and gives me a bag of fried scuttles instead.

And they don't even have the odacity to refund.
