Me and a friend were doing /begger and some other emotes next to eachother so we looked a certain way, and talked in zone chat, and people were watching us x.xHave you lot ever seen how lower than Barrens-tier the ERPers make zone chat in Glenumbra when they post to the wrong channel? Now, picture that, and it's happening in every damned inn or publicly accessible house from Daggerfall to Ghrahtwood. I rest my case.
Total cringe.
No, that I am not.mzapkeneb18_ESO wrote: »dtm_samuraib16_ESO wrote: »Problem is the elitist attitude ingame here.
There is no room for 'crazy builds' (where the character is everything, negative sides and all) and the "perfect build" simply in not of consequence.
You cannot enter a dungeon with an RP build, since they kick you.
Waiting for one to open is already an issue for a "casual damage dealer", not to mention if you're an actual RP build.
The RPG in MMORPG has been destroyed badly...
Are you the guy who tries to heal people with a bow without slotting any heals?
Can someone enlighten me on RPing? What do you do?
Basically it's acting out your character.
At the most basic level this includes not doing certain quests because they don't fit your character and making dialog choices in quests based on your character.
Those of us who take it a step further, act like the character would at all times, i.e. talking in character (contrary to common belief this doesn't necessarily involve Shakespeare's English ), using emotes at appropriate times (both actual emotes and typed out stuff).
EU?and am member of several RP guilds (even have my own)

You posted that questions just before I could. lolCallous2208 wrote: »ArcanusMagus wrote: »I cringe. There's willful suspension of disbelief ('mersions), but roleplaying pushes it too far, in my opinion. I wouldn't stop anyone from doing it, I'd just ignore them.
Roleplaying in a roleplaying game is pushing it too far?
Normal RP? No, not generally. Can even be entertaining to watch sometimes.
ERPing in private group chat? Fine by me, as long as I don't have to see it.
Explicit ERPing in public channels? Very much yes, and IMO it shouldn't be allowed.
