Missing CP and old Vet returning...

So, going back to v1.6.5, per this:
https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/154426?_ga=1.53821610.302267232.1462730361

"Any Veteran Rank character that logs in after the system goes live will get 5 Champion Points added to the account for each full Veteran Rank that character has achieved."

I recently came back to ESO, and my V7 (I had since launch) did not have 35 CP. I'm V10 now and have only 30. I just realized this after noticing posts and looking back in patch notes. Did I get shorted? What gives on this? Can someone explain?

Not 100% sure but maybe you did get shorted, I wouldn't worry to much about it. When Dark brotherhood goes live they are removing VR and replacing gear with "CP level"... as part of that they are ensuring you can wear your current gear. So VR10 = CP 100, so if you are still VR10 when it goes lives it will automatically bump you to 100 CP. CP will also get earned pretty quickly for you since your lower on the CP scale (they also added in a catch up system) so you'll catch up to the "average" VR10 player pretty quickly.

It's not going to keep me from playing or anything, but in my mind unfortunately, if true, I'll always feel behind on CP, lol. I'm a casual player as well, so not sure how fast CP will actually come for me.

It would just be nice if someone could confirm that my V7 should have had 35CP waiting for me when I logged in. (in theory, that's CP I earned, leveling V1-V7)

EDIT: I'm going to re-post this in support, this probably wasn't the right place for this:

I think the way it works is as soon as you hit "Lvl 50" you turn into V1 and start earning CP...
so it would be 5 CP for every level after that, making the 30 CP you logged into correct.

& you earn them pretty fast under 160, adventuring around as usual they add up at a nice steady rate.
    have fun!
    :)
