Players cheating and spying for other factions

It is getting worse in Cyrodiil PS4 NA PVP servers. We are experiencing a growing number of multi-faction groups helping cheat or spy. Multiple times last night, Yellow AD was being escorted by Blue DC to take a scroll and run it away so Yellow Alliance could not take it and return it to their holds. We ought to be able to mark someone as a spy, and if enough members mark them, they can be killed by their own faction. Or, lock factions and servers down so you cannot switch so easily between RED, BLUE or YELLOW. This is BS.

It's not spying and nothing can or will be done about by ZOS. Just write their name down on a note book and kill them every chance you get.

No one cares enough, most actual important strats are discussed in voice comms and not zone, and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to read a map and figure out the next logical target.

The xbox- and ps4- communities are probably too young to understand these things. I wasnt on the forums back in beta and the early patches, but wouldnt be surprised if these posts were all over the place about the pc-community back then

Spies not so much, though people complained about them in zone a lot. Troll campers were an actual problem/thing though. New thread every day it seemed.

Yes, if a blue eacorts a yellow out of a blue keep with a scroll yellow faction was about to take and yellow runs deeper into blue territory with the scroll and blue doesnt kill them, yes that I interpret is not the intent of the game and consider it spying or cheating. It is okay if we disagree. But that is my opinion and position. And it is a fair interpretation.

That isnt a spy, though. Its a troll, a very different thing entirely, and probably just a pair of people having a yuk yuk at others expense. They had it fully planned before they began. No espionage required.

No spies? When they add @names you may be surprised. @name are already visible on PC in gamepad mode. When I saw someone with a very distinctive and unique @name in the opposition not long after seeing him crouched next to me at Bleakers, what am I supposed to think he's doing if not spying.

Nothing can or will be done about spying or collusion between alliances. It was just made easier by allowing alts to all be in the same campaign. It's disgusting, but some players are pathetic enough to do anything for an edge. Like the dude said, note their name and kill them as often as possible.

He isnt spying, he is playing the other side, lol. he isnt telling the other faction you saw him on anything, he is killing that other faction.

Such assumption. When I play DC or AD i dont talk to EP, i just kill EP.

Each account should be limited to one faction for PvP purposes. It's really that simple.

Maybe not the entire account locked, but I'd like no cross faction per campaign on one account. If you have multi-faction toons, that's fine. But lock loyalty of one faction to one campaign.

It's not the spying that bothers me. A 'spy' checking to see if a keep is empty or well defending or following a large force and reporting where they go, is difficult to counter, is frustrating because the 'spy' can't be dealt with, it is just part of the war/game. What bothers me to no end, is the hand delivering of a scroll to the enemy. Or, the purposely standing close to the wall so others can leap in. It doesn't happen as often as it used to, but it still happens.

I understand there are spies in wars. But we in this war have no recourse. And as you can see above, some don't think these actions qualify as spying or cheating.

The spy is a yellow. I cannot kill the spy every time I see them. That is the problem.

To me, a larger issue is collusion. Emp trading, petty intra-faction politics, etc. IMO, an AvA game needs mechanisms to prevent/discourage the spirit of the game to be circumvented. But again, considering the scope of the problems of ESO PVP, it is a relatively small issue.

Literally 99% of the console playerbase that uses the forums are either zergbads or streamer fanboys. Idk why but the better players\guilds on console have never really had a forum presence like you see from PC.

TBF, the OP referenced dirty dealings and not just spying. I remember when a certain someone with a fairly good weathered name handed a DC scroll
off to AD. It's that kinda childish behavior that tends to rile the commoners.
