Can't loot corpses while moving... intended or bug?

So I was doing a practice grinding run through Vile Drainage in the IC sewers, then I looked back and saw all these yellow glowing bodies. None of the corpses I thought I had looted had actually been looted! At first I though there was a problem with the "E" key on my keyboard, but some careful experimentation showed a different problem...

You can NOT loot corpses while moving on the PTS! You have to stop and stand still in order to loot successfully. I can't even begin to describe how annoying this is. Is this a bug or what?

I'm surprised no one else has noticed this... is it just happening to me or can someone confirm this issue?

Any thoughts on this @ZOS_GinaBruno ?

Interesting. Usually I always loot on the move, but I think due to checking out all the fancy kill animations I tended to be stationary when I looted. I'll definitely check it out and see if I can loot while on the move.

That is probably it right there. You have never been able to loot until the combat conditions stop. Most of the time this is soon after death, and death can occur before they hit the ground. The new animations may have extended this time so your hitting E like you usually do, but the animation is still going on so the corpse is not lootable until it's done.

So, basically, they need to allow Animation Canceling on NPC Death.....


Stop squirming around and die already so I can pick your pockets kind of thing.

That's not it @Nestor. Every mob can be long dead, but when I move over it while running, the "E" prompt appears, BUT it is grayed out. The "E" prompt only becomes clickable when I come to a total stop.

Weird, my idea was the simplest one for being the root cause. It also allowed me to say Death Animation Canceling, which is kind of cool thing to say. Grumble grumble grumble
