Title, with the changes to all classes except Magicka and Stamina Sorcerer will you be rerolling your main to be a different class with better DPS?

Yeah I'm re-rolling a StamBlade, they look like they're going to be powerful, and the nerf to hardened ward was a bit excessive imo, halving it to 10 seconds would've be ok I guess, but 6 seconds is stupid

This change to ward has literally sucked all the motivation to play the game, after DB launch and now

whats the point if the only skill that keeps me and my pets alive is nerfed into uselessness, whats the point in playing now when i know that post DB my entire skillset is broken

seriously i deal with depression enough, i dont need this

Edit: whats the point? really, this skill has been a intergral part of every pve build i have since early access

I have a VR16 of each class, no big deal, one thing you can always count on is a Nerf to this skill or that skill and or class.

This is why we Alt. My sorc is pretty much a VMA toon at this point, which I already raged about earlier. Since I am pretty much done with that place, my sorc is probably going to be on the shelf for a while anyway. I dont think this really does much from a PVE standpoint. The only people I see this hurting are the really good sorcs going for #1 VMA spot. They wont be able to only cast shields in between rounds anymore. I cast my shield every 8-10 seconds anyway in there, so not to big of a deal. Sorcs running shields in trials or group content (other than tanks) dont know what they are doing anyway.

In PvP, I think the point was to stop shield stacking, which is probably a good idea. The funny thing is that the net result of all the changes to shields (bone shield and annulment as well) is that you will actually see more classes running shields I am guessing. They are shorter, but now they protect from all types of damage. Bone shield is OP threads coming soon to a forum near you.

My 2 cents, as usual, they went too far. I would have like to see them decrease duration slightly and perhaps increase cost a bit, but as usual, I think they might have gone a little too far. 20 to 6 seconds is a big change. We shall see.

I agree lowering the duration was a good move, but not by the amount they have it doesn't just kill a sorcs defensive side, but if you like to put this on your back bar it's also going to kill your dps, having to cast this 3/4 times instead of once has ruined the class.

EDIT: and turning annulment into the same skill is also stupid, now everyone will be running shields.

Lower duration on shields means absolutely squat. If youre taking damage youre refreshing shields a lot faster than every six seconds already. Period, end of story. The rest is just feel good timers giving you the sense of security, a good sorc doesnt need 20 seconds of shields, hell you could reduce it to four and I wouldnt feel the slightest change here.

Magicka Harness (for magicka builds), and Bone Shield (for stamina builds) now absorb all damage types. This is nothing but a buff, and a huge one.

Added damage or heals to negate (damage numbers on par with dragonknight standard per testing) = LOVE

Pets got 5k more health (dont use em, but thats a buff, thats stronger)

Need more? lawl.

I don't think you understand what's actually happening here. Sorcerers have and will continue to have the lowest PvE DPS.

I don't think you understand, most of the best DPS in the game is an overload sorc.

I don't think you understand, most of the best DPS in the game is an overload sorc.

LOL. All classes have better DPS than even an Overload Sorcerer now with the proper rotation. Sorcs are officially dead last.

You do know that Harness Magicka's Magicka gain only procs when hit by magic though right? Honestly Dampen Magic benefited more than Harness Magicka did.

@Rylana already answered. duration was never an issue in regards to PvP. the only aspect the changes to duration negatively effect is PvE.

Shield stacking for sorcs got buffed in a big way

Almost every class has gained major changes to their class skills, that now scale from stamina. Hardly game over, don't forget to try out the PTS!

Doesnt matter, the weakness I refer to was Harness gave you a ghost shield that physical damage bypassed. Now, its just a flat stack. If anything Harness/Dampen will be the most used skill in Cyro by everyone.

Also I would stay with Harness for that return on magicka hits. Im a breton, i dont need dampen really.
